Elite perks:

 

Since we enjoyed one of our Celebrity perks in Tuscan Grille, this is a good time to post those Elite Perks:

I absolutely love the quiet atmosphere, small portions, and drink options for the Elite (and up) breakfast in Tuscan Grille.  Who can say no to a free Bellini or Mimosa?  And I love those Cappuccinos and Latte’s  in real cups!

Meet and Mingle:

 

After breakfast, we dropped DS off at the balcony so that we could enjoy the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle.  

 

Tip:  It really makes a difference if you don’t sit down as soon as you arrive.  Just start up a conversation about cruising with the first arrivals, and you will learn so much more about cruising and make new friends.  

 

This was one of my favorite Meet and Mingles, as everyone was engaged in conversation, and we celebrated a milestone birthday with a CC friend!  

 

Dan the Cruise director:  (Such a talented singer and entertainer!)

 

The staff members who took time out of their day to spend a few minutes with us - I really can not choose a favorite.  They are all very personable and dedicated to making this a special cruise for all.

Thanks for posting the info left in your cabin regarding Elite Members Events and Discounts. There has been much controversy on the boards regarding free admission to the Persian Garden on one sea day while the ship is in port. It seems that many Elite members have been told the policy was changed and they were not admitted to the spa to use the Persian Garden, they were told they would have to pay $59 to access the Persian Garden.  Hoping they will allow us to use it without a fee next month as noted in the info they gave you.

Gingerbread House Decorating:

 

After the Meet and Mingle, we found some seats to watch the gingerbread house decorating competition.  It was fun and informative, but we did not stay to see who won... so much to do, so little time:

Lunch was a hodgepodge of items, including a couple of snacks from Aqua Spa Café (tasted like health food...aka not a repeater 😂) 

 

DS enjoyed fries and a hotdog from  the Mast Grille.  

 

Captains Club Celebration:

 

This event was between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.  It was surprisingly not very well attended, but still fun.

The Appletini was very good.  I like the small sizes of the drinks they offer.

Thanks the Captain looks cool. I love sea days were there a lot of activities?  What I miss on the Caribbean cruises are the enrichment lectures that are available on  European cruises or TA's.

Yes, there are plenty of activities to participate in during the day.  I will post all the dailies at the end of the week. I agree... we had great educational nature talks on our Alaska cruise with Celebrity, but there not as many on this ship.  Of course, there is the option of the hot glass classes and the iLounge offers classes for Apple products.

Thanks I forgot about those Apple classes on the ship.  They are very informative and I learned a lot the last time I attended.  Looking forward to going again.

You are right.  That is Julie.  I agree she is an excellent Guest Relations Director... always smiling or laughing. 🙂

Dinner Menu:  Very successful choices today!  All repeaters.  

 

 

Waldorf Chicken Salad (Repeater):

Dessert Menu:  (We had chocolate lava cake, which escaped the camera once again... how does that happen?)  To me, the chocolate lava cake was just okay, but DH and DS say it is a Repeater... 🙂

We attended the Officers’ Soirée after dinner, and enjoyed the singing talents of Julie, Jill, Dan, and another officer (can’t remember his name).  Unfortunately, I can not post videos here, so I will have to upload those when I get home.

After an early breakfast of delicious Mexican Eggs Benedict,  we enjoyed time in Tuscan Grille with cappuccino, Bellini and Smoked salmon platter.  Can’t get much better than that aft view...
