Maybe,  I'm not sure I understand why the sunshine would affect the crowd at the Martini bar.

There is only one real bar inside.... the martini bar.... the casino bar is really not the same... and who wants to have pre dinner cocktail in the ocean view cafe... On S class... you have martini bar, casino bar, world class bar, passport bar, ensemble lounge in addition to the one in the ocean view area... and another one... forget the name across from the martini bar... wine bar I think...

Ok, I agree with everything you wrote.  I still don't understand how sunshine affects the Martini Bar.  Sunshine usually an issue for pre-dinner cocktails.

Yeah coke hasn’t made any money since

😂😂

Yeh back in the day they owned Columbia Pictures and The Wine Spectrum... decided they were in the entertainment business... about 18 months later Roberto gone (as I recall)... and they sold off Columbia pictures and shortly afterwards The Wine Spectrum. They used to piss away more money than most companies make... when I was there they took 750 employees and spouses to Montreal for a week... we had our own olympics... and feel good seminars taught by well known writers, capped off with a performance by Lionel Richie and the Commodores. It had to cost millions... and I still don't know why... it wasn't a particularly successful year.... It was Pepsi challenge time.... but what a time... better than any sales meeting I'd ever been to before or since... but if I had been a shareholder... I would have wondered. Memory lane

Well lets try this again... if it is raining... you are not likely to be at the pool... so what to do... well one thing ...especially if you have a drink package.. is to drown your sorrows at the bar. With only one decent bar indoors... it could get crowded... normally you would by laying out in the sun ordering from the pool bar or perhaps sitting a the sunset bar .. but if the weather is unpleasant.. well ... your options are limited... I believe that was the point she was making

New coke is viewed in the building as the greatest “mistake “ ever made.  Added tens of millions to their bottom line.

The Martinti Bar is crowded whether it is sunny out or not.  It is the only main gathering place for pre and post dinner drinks.  So, no matter what the weather it is crowded.

Thanks for trying to explain the post, but your explanation doesn't make any sense.  She specifically talked about being crowded in the sunshine.

"It was beyond crowded in the sunshine"

Nothing about coming in from the rain.

Right?!?!?

It was RIDICULOUSLY over the top criticism and I enjoyed every moment new coke and Coke II myself!;)  The extra touches of sweetness made it the favorite in blind taste tests, but people are set in their ways! Unfortunately there was no choice at first until they brought back Coca-Cola Classic. Seriously, everyone can do either or on these ships!

Okay.... I was wondering how the veranda compared to comparable veranda on an S class ship.... in terms of usable space... not size based on architects drawings. The useable space in the IV cabin I had (E3) was 7'4" wide... 4'6" deep... size if bifold doors closed. This translates to 33 sq ft... advertised in some places as 40 sq ft others as 42 sq ft. A friend is on Silhouette in a C3 cabin... His veranda measured 8'5" by 6'6" or 54 sq ft... advertised as 55... so close. So furniture choices are dictated by the space being almost 40% smaller. Perhaps on the Beyond they could make the veranda deeper... there is really nothing they can do to make it wider... but if deeper it would be easier to lean back.

Or perhaps just forget the IVs totally and go back to conventional balconies 🤔?

I actually like the IV cabin... it was just too small for two people. Might be a better idea to remove one chair and stop pretending that two can use it... make it one that reclines. At least then one person could turn it and lay back... not sure table will still fit then... oh well.

Hank, I have for years appreciated your comments here on CC and I’ll leave it at that.  There are many on CC with opinions about the Edge without stepping on board.  Katie

o - perchance, do you know since when MSC has been considered a 'Luxury option' as was stated?

Have me wondering about that one... need to look it up to be sure that we have not missed anything..

I cannot wait to read your review, along with others and for items of interest before we board in November!!!

Thank you for your input.

bon voyage
