Was MDR not free on Liberty September 23rd 2018 sailing?

I know it sounds strange, but I need to ask this question

Is this possible that only free options on that sailing were Windjammer and pizza place

and MDR wasn’t free?

Seriously doubt it, because we would have seen at least several ranting threads here if so.

Thank you. There is a person in one of Royal Caribbean groups on FB who insists it was like that, and thinks that it was like this because there was promotion “kids sail free”. She was advising another women who booked Enchantment using this promotion that food might not be included.

I was sure this was a mistake, but just wanted to double check if it was possible.

Maybe they are mistaking the lobster and steak upcharge.

What Bob said.  The screams would still be echoing somewhere!

Not to derail this thread but I have only sailed on Royal once back in 2015. What is the lobster and steak upcharge?

I believe the whole Maine lobster is around $30 now and can be ordered any night in the MDR.

On cruises based out of the US of 7 days or longer, there is usually one night with "free" warm water lobster tail in the main dining room.

LOL it would have been Anarchy on these boards and the ship lol

I agree.

Just look at the Holland America boards since they are "trying out" charging $10 if you order a second entree on certain ships.

If you can get the same Chops steak for $15 in the MDR, then why pay $35 - $40 for Chops then?

Ambiance? Sides? Feeling superior? Dessert??

I gotta say, I usually don't have room for dessert even in the MDR, so paying for it in Chops or anywhere else, makes no sense to me.  I have moved away from eating a lot of beef anyway so the thrill of a Chops steak, just isn't for me or hubby.  The only specialty restaurant that we always go to is Izumi on a sailing....and since that is a la carte, we order what we want to enjoy and dessert isn't it.

I’ve sailed Liberty many times.  It clearly states at the bottom of the menu some items you can order from Specialty Dining that has a charge, but regular dining is  inclusive.  They have never charged more for seconds of the MDR menu items that are not listed as a charged item.  In fact, there are times they just bring it without asking because they think you might enjoy it.
