I feel I will miss it as we do spend time there on the other Solstice class ships. Where do they hold events like karaoke on Reflection? Personally we never really used that space much so can’t say we really miss it, last night they they did the silent disco at the martini bar which was fun to watch, and it was very popular, Tonight the karaoke is at the sky lounge,
MR_T Posted March 13, 2019 Author #153 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Hi All, So today we have just docked in Grand Cayman for the day, we’ve been lucky enough to have visited here a few times so this time we have decided to stay onboard and enjoy a nice quiet ship while most of the pax get off, we may get off a little later for a quick beach visit or maybe a little walk but we are just going to see how the day pans out, its looking like being another glorious sunny day with temp of 83 degrees, I’ll settle for that as it’s currently -7 at home! 😂 chat later

It sounds like our last visit to Tuscan on Connie several years ago. We were left disappointed with the food and service and we haven't returned since. You both seem like seasoned cruisers who keep a great attitude and will have a good time. If you get a chance could you please check out what cameras are for sale? DH and I are planning to upgrade our digital cameral and are hoping there's something that will do the job and use up some of our OBC. Thanks in advance. Your review is helping us count down the days for our next cruise on Reflection. Sure, the camera info is on the hit list to do 👍🏼 I’ll try and get it today for you 😊

bikerunner Posted March 13, 2019 #156 Share Posted March 13, 2019 The quiet ship days I always enjoy, I plan on at least one each cruise, stay on board while everyone gets off, or most. Its great time to relax and somewhat empty pool. Mine cruise in Nov it will be the day we are in Panama. Not a fan of Colon. Quick question on the tuna fiasco, how thick of a cut was it. I usually have mine around 3/4 to 1 inch to make sure it stays rare....as your aware it cooks very fast IMO. Enjoy ship day!

It's disappointing news but I'm glad to know in advance. It's a double whammy as last year we experienced the dream team of Eddy and Giuseppe twice but Giuseppe has since been promoted to CD. I'm not familiar with any CD by the name of Simon. Thank you for your live review. Very informative and enjoyable. In regards to cruise director Simon. His names is Simon Akerwolere and is currently on the Equinox. I just returned last week, he was fun, energetic and around everywhere. Enjoy! 1

MR_T Posted March 13, 2019 Author #164 Share Posted March 13, 2019 A little quick review of the casino... now obviously this is a personal option and what we like could be completely different to others so I guess you should take it for whatever it means to you, firstly we we are not big gamblers but do enjoy a visit or 2 to the casino slot machines onboard a cruise and have always found a good selection of machines to play, and sometimes even walk away st the end with more than we started with, I think the last 2/3 celebrity cruises we have come out on top so fingers crossed that run continues 🤞🏻 However, on the first day we did our usual early walk around to pick our hit list and see if any of the new machines out have made it onboard... but to our disappointment we found there were actually less of the fun machines and more of the standard in our opinion boring machines in place of some favourites we’ve seen before on the reflection I’m sure... I dont remember being as disappointed with the slot machines before on a celebrity ship 🙁 now it won’t stop up playing but our choice of machine is very limited to maybe a selection of maybe 10... and of course there the most popular ones of them all so I guess we’ll have to keep checking for availability, saying all the above I was able to get to a couple of them last night and walked away with a nice winning performance after a less winning one the first night... 😂 but over all on day 2 we are up so fingers crossed it stays that way 👍🏼
IrishLassie Posted March 13, 2019 #165 Share Posted March 13, 2019 WOW, nice winnings ! I never come out ahead! LOL A question for you, could you ask if there's a "bar server" named Taz, he's from Turkey, on the ship? He was on another of the S class ships we were on & was so nice and would just like to see him again. He was always in the Martini Bar but I know he was training others on the new Edge & then went home on break so not sure if he's back. Thanks & please don't go out of your way to check. We are boarding nx Friday so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I don’t know. That menu is one of my favorites. I always have a hard time choosing! April 1, I am again boarding Reflection. Last on for Christmas sailing. i believe I chose 2 apps and the Steak Diane at Christmas. This time around, I am in a suite, so will be facing different menu choices. But, would be more than content with the above choices,

cheeseheads4ever Posted March 13, 2019 #168 Share Posted March 13, 2019 We stayed onboard while docked in Cozumel last year on a cruise and really enjoyed it. For a while we were the only ones in the pool and was nice to have most places onboard to ourselves. Great idea! MR_T really enjoying your review. Great job!
Luvcrusn Posted March 13, 2019 #169 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Sorry if this has been already covered, but on another thread there's talk that some ships (those where you get your seapass in your room) you can drop off carry-on luggage in your cabin before the cabins are ready. Was this available on Reflection when you boarded? Did you obtain your seapass at check in or from your room?

I kind of thought that would be the case since Reflection, being the newest of the S-class ships will be the last to undergo the Revolution and this new procedure seems to be on Edge and the ships that have undergone the transition. MR_T Posted March 14, 2019 Author #175 Share Posted March 14, 2019 Hi All, below low is the menu from the main dining room, one thing I’ve noticed is the menu is the same as what’s listed on the celebrity app so unless I get any specific requests I don’t see the need to post it here as it’s available there,
