Rare Radio Posted May 5, 2019 Author #54 Share Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) Hello everyone and welcome aboard. I arrived at the pier by around 11:30. After parking my car I went through security, and checked in right away with no lines. While I was at the check in counter Celebrity announced that boarding had begun so I was advised to go up the escalator and board the ship. As soon as I boarded I was greeted with my choice of Kir Royale, Champagne or a glass of OJ. I have a lot of exploring to do but a have a few days to explore until next Sunday. U grabbed a quick lunch in the Oceanview Cafe but Muster is soon. We are scheduled to sail away at 4 PM. (We sailed away at 4:15) I am hoping that this connection improves as it appears that posting photos seems unthinkable until my signal gets better. Pics will be uploaded as soon as possible. Thanks for tuning in. Radio Edited May 5, 2019 by Radio

Rare Radio Posted May 6, 2019 Author #67 Share Posted May 6, 2019 Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 2 of “LIVE” on Celebrity Summit. Well, where do we begin. . . OK. After sail away last night it seems that the internet wasn’t working so well. I couldn’t connect with my laptop or device. I tried hard to post photos, but it wasn’t going to work. Several passengers experienced the same problems while others had no problems. Everything appears to be working now, but keep your fingers crossed. It stopped raining hard late last night, and today it is off and on, but we still have very cloudy skies and the seas are a little choppy. It is very windy again, and Celebrity has closed entrance to the Promenade Deck (Deck 4). I had a very nice dinner last night at Tuscan Grill. There is a 1st night only special where you can dine for a 20% discount from the normal fee. I was able to dine with a few friends for only $36. There weren’t many passengers in there but we were dining early at 5:30PM.I woke up very early this morning (3:30) and had a tough time finding a cup of coffee. I finally found a delicious cup of Lavazza up on Deck 10 in the Oceanview Café. I went to the Cruise Critic gathering (Celebrity Connections) this morning at 9:30 at Cellar Masters, Deck 5. Our Cruise Director introduced many of the Department managers as well as the Captain and Navigation Staff. Many stayed to talk with passengers about the ship. We have sailed about 200nm from Cape Liberty and still have about 420nm to go before we pick up the pilot in Bermuda around 6:30 am on Wednesday. The Captain suggested that the rough weather we have been experiencing is due to our transit through the Gulf Stream and 70 kt winds throughout the evening. He suggested that things should calm down later today and tomorrow. Here are a few photos from on board this morning. Radio Ocean Cafe Map Summit installed new washing stations as you enter Oceanview Cafe I like all of the new furniture in the Cafe There are many high tables that are good passengers like. There are several areas of the Oceanview Cafe that have different designs of seating. They offer 6 top, 4 top and 2 top seating Very cloudy skies, and very windy today The seas are much rougher than they appear There are not many passengers on the outside decks today The beautiful indoor pool is an oasis today It is very warm in the Solarium today with very warm water This area will be packed later today. There is a dining area and food choices in the Solarium 3

warmwinds Posted May 6, 2019 #74 Share Posted May 6, 2019 I'm about to say something positive! Those chairs in the OV Café don't look too bad. I honestly can't recall if there were always different colored ones in different areas, but what a great idea! "Don't forget, we're sitting in the yellow chairs" instead of wandering aimlessly looking for your party.
Rare Radio Posted May 6, 2019 Author #75 Share Posted May 6, 2019 Hello everyone and good day. . . Here are some images of my cabin. It is a standard 2A Balcony Cabin. I really like the design of this cabin. The mirror that is designed to light up in the main cabin area does not work but it has been suggested that this will be repaired while we are in Bermuda. The TV is much larger than the older tv's that were in a 2A before the "Revolution". Overall I am very happy with the layout and function. I will not need to caption each image as the images are easy to differentiate. Radio
