Any recommendations on getting from  Lisbon Airport to hotel?  Since we booked our own extra days (Sapphire points) we need to arrange our own transportation.....party of 5!

Thanks

I used Personal Transport from the ship in Lisbon to the airport. Used them many times all over Europe. Very reliable.

If you can get a van-sized taxi at the airport, this should give you enough room for five with luggage.  In our experience, when Lisbon airport staff see a large group with luggage, they will flag down or call for the appropriate sized vehicle.

Thanks for clarifying from. I did mean NOT expensive. Just spent a week in Lisbon recently and either walked or took a taxi everywhere.

Can you (or anyone else) recommend any good restaurants?  Looking for local food that has Port wine.

It's 4.5 miles from the airport to the Ritz.

Take the taxi.  That is, unless your personal sense of style won't let you arrive at the Ritz in anything other than a private car or limo.

It's more than personal sense---it's meeting you at the gate, taking you to a private area while they get your luggage, pulling the car around, walking you to the car---arriving at the hotel and being rechecked into your room.

On thing yo0u do have to worry about is they use a ton of salt in cooking.  Also Port Wine is everyplace.

It was the car company the hotel used--and it wasn't that costly---more than a taxi, but wasn't more than a reg car service.

Forgot to say, we take a Taxi, Uber, Car Service or Hotel Transfer--it all depends on the flight--short flight Uber or Taxi, but after a long flight from the US to Europe (with a layover) we'll do a car service or Hotel Transfer.
