Have crossed over the increases a few times, as have some regular travel companions. It’s USD converted to AUD on Princess Au cruises and straight USD elsewhere. I haven't specifically noticed when it 'clicked over' previously. I will be watching for my next milestone.

rkmw Posted November 16, 2019 #32 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Someone else posted a comment on the general Princess board that the OBC was US$ converted to Aussie. I believed her comment, but it is good to have it confirmed. [emoji4]I have over 52 cruises and I’m pretty sure it kicked in at 52 which is $100 US which works out approximately $140 AUD and you get that for every cruise and even a 2 day cruise With a couple if you have the same surname you only get it per cabin but if your partner has a different surname you both get itSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rare MicCanberra Posted November 16, 2019 #33 Share Posted November 16, 2019 I think that is a bit primitive, if it is per cabin, fair enough but if it is per person but only if they have different names, that is bonkers.

I agree with your reasoning, but I suppose it is Princess' ship and they set the rules.🙂
GUT2407 Posted November 16, 2019 #37 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Sounds like good reason for a name change or divorce. i know a lawyer who does divorces and takes payment in cruises.

If the Loyalty OBC is per person, then so be it, if it is per cabin then that is fine too, they shouldn't be doing it on a surname type basis though. valantine80 Posted November 18, 2019 #40 Share Posted November 18, 2019 We have just been on Sea Princess. My husband, who has one more cruise than me, was on his 21st cruise. He was given $25 OBC but in AUD, not converted from USD. Staff were unable to explain why this credit was applied to his account so it seems this is the reason. Mystery solved.
Beanb41 Posted November 19, 2019 #41 Share Posted November 19, 2019 Princess also has a military benefit of I think $250 OBC which includes NZ and Australian veterans
Ombud Posted December 8, 2019 #42 Share Posted December 8, 2019 Thought I'd chip in with my recent experience. > $25 loyalty = $25 OBC > $25US gift credit from Princess = $36.
Aus Traveller Posted December 19, 2019 Author #43 Share Posted December 19, 2019 Loyalty OBC - I can now confirm that it is $25 on 21st cruise, $50 on 32nd, $75 on 42nd and $100 on 52nd. Until around two months ago, the OBC was US$ converted to AUD. It is now in AUD. There was no notification in our cabin of this OBC.
