YuliaC Posted November 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2019 Hi, We taking a Princess Cruises out of Florida this December to East Caribbean It’s say to have proof immunization to board . Anyone knows what’s required? Any information would be very helpful.Thank you !
Aus Traveller Posted November 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2019 No special immunizations are required. This would be a generic statement Princess makes, like the one about needing visas. However, you would be well advised to make sure your usual immunizations are up to date - measles, whooping cough etc and also have a flu shot if you haven't already. Rare Host Kat Posted November 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2019 (edited) Howdy YuliaC! Thank you for your first post and on the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum! 👍 Please note the information at the top of the first page of the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum: Note: This area is intended only for questions and answers relating to technical assistance in using these message boards. Please do not post general cruise-related questions or Roll Calls here. Since your inquiry concerns one particular cruise line, I have moved your thread to the Princess Cruises forum where it will be on topic. Also, the majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have or are going to sail Princess frequent this forum and hopefully will be able to help you. Cruise Critic is a great resource and we are so glad you found us! Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community list. Read a few threads in various forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads on the top of the first page of threads in a forum. You will find very important instructions or information there. Please remember the following stated in the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free memberships: Browse Before You Post Browse a topic first to see if your question has already been asked or answered by someone else. Also, many of the major cruise lines forums have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) topic that has been created by our members. Give that a try first. Browsing is your #1 best resource! Please post your messages in an appropriate topic so that you'll receive the best possible response. It is very time consuming to move misplaced messages that are in the wrong topics. Anytime you want to start a new thread on any forum, make sure you are on the correct forum for your topic. Word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members that know the information so they will reply to you. It is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic or concerning one cruise line, ship, port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship, port or sail date in your inquiry if it will help the members with their answers. For finding fellow Cruise Critic members sailing with you on your cruise, please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call . Please note tour share requests may only be posted on the Roll Call thread for your cruise sail date and in no other forum. And don't forget, after your cruise be sure to go to our Member Cruise Reviews section and submit your review for publication! I sincerely hope this information will be helpful to a new member & so glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! memoak Posted November 18, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2019 The only island that I know has a requirement for yellow fever immunization is Devils Island. Although there are South American countries such as Brazil that require others

I'd suggest a visit to https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list, and perhaps a chat with your physician.

If the documentation you have from Princess concerning your voyage says proof of immunization is required to board, in addition to consulting your physician and the CDC web site it would make sense to consult Princess for details. As I remember it, the immunization was not required for the stop at Devil's Island itself.
riffatsea Posted November 19, 2019 #8 Share Posted November 19, 2019 It is a general letter and doesn't mean you actually need immunizations for Caribbean ports!! Since when is Brazil part of the Caribbean???? There are no Caribbean ports where you MUST have an specific shots!
