Yes! My thoughts exactly. As long as I'm not cooking AND washing dishes, I'm pretty much a happy camper! The Crown Grill on the Sky didn't have the sampler dessert plate, which made me sad. They did offer a sampler at Sabatini's, but I wish they would bring that back at the Crown Grill.

DH and I talk about those croissants and compare them to other cruise lines' version, and Princess wins every time. Yum!

Rare MrSchwump Posted March 7, 2020 #32 Share Posted March 7, 2020 My wife loves the chicken salad at the IC. I had never heard of a Lebanon Potato but had one on our recent cruise. It was so good, I got 2 more!

Princess has their recipe, HAL has theirs, as does MSC and Carnival. MSC's is most interesting, I think. I think there is pesto in the sauce. Just as good, just different. ckb104 Posted March 9, 2020 #35 Share Posted March 9, 2020 I love when people post gorgeous food photos, so I included mine. I love the fruit tartlets and the "shot" of tiramisu at the International Cafe. (don't worry, that last bite was eaten).

Here's a photo of them on the Crown in October. It seemed like they had them every third morning. The International Café on the Caribbean Princess did not have them at all when I was on there in December. The guy I asked didn't seem to know what I was talking about, even after I described them. There's a disc of chocolate in the middle of that delicious shortbread cookie.
Thrak Posted March 9, 2020 #37 Share Posted March 9, 2020 My wife likes the rainbow parfait at IC. She says it is vastly better than the ones in HC - which she doesn't care for at all.

ckb104 Posted March 9, 2020 #39 Share Posted March 9, 2020 In MaryBethV's report on the Sky, she had a dessert that was a profiterole with gelato. It looked so good!! I'm hoping that will be on all the ships.
