Due to arrive April 8th according to MarineTraffic & VesselFinder. Maybe she will just anchor.

With the present curtailment of activity I suspect that LA has reached its emission targets for this year 😉
Belfast Taxman Posted April 2, 2020 #57 Share Posted April 2, 2020 Splendour not travelling towards LA as now well south of the Mexican border. Possibly just one of its sea exercises and will return to SAN Diego, or possibly heading for the Panama canal
DaveFr Posted April 2, 2020 #58 Share Posted April 2, 2020 The Port of San Diego website shows the Splendor arriving in San Diego on April 3 and leaving on April 7. It will be berthed in downtown San Diego. Dave
Travelcat2 Posted April 2, 2020 #59 Share Posted April 2, 2020 When our cruise on Splendor out of San Diego was cancelled, we were told that she would remain in San Diego for 30 days so what Dave posted sounds right. They have done several "exercise" journeys down to Mexico.

DaveFr Posted April 4, 2020 #62 Share Posted April 4, 2020 Good catch Susan. There must’ve been a last-minute change for the Splendor and the Port of San Diego website has been corrected to reflect the change. Dave
mrlevin Posted April 4, 2020 #63 Share Posted April 4, 2020 Navigator scheduled to arrive on the 8th and the Mariner on the 14th; looks like they will have 60% of the fleet sitting off LA. Voyager is still in Abu Dhabi and Explorer is in Freeport.
DaveFr Posted April 4, 2020 #64 Share Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) Splendor is now moving up the channel towards the LA cruise terminal. I read somewhere that there will be a large repatriation of crewmembers next week. I assume flights will be from LAX which would explain why the ships are congregating near the LA/Long Beach Harbors. mrlevin Posted April 4, 2020 #65 Share Posted April 4, 2020 Dave, then I am sure the dates for Navigator and Mariner will be much sooner than the published ETA; Navigator is maybe two days out and Mariner just arrived in Honolulu so maybe five days out if need be. Travelcat2 Posted April 5, 2020 #66 Share Posted April 5, 2020 California has put stringent laws in place regarding polution from cruise ships. It could be the reason why the Navigator would not be welcome. On the other hand, they may be permitted to anchor and have crew members tender to and from the ship. JMARINER Posted April 5, 2020 #67 Share Posted April 5, 2020 Mariner is coming to LA after it resupplies in Honolulu. I assume that afterward it will be heading to do the Alaska season, if it ever gets started. ;( J

We are still booked on that May 17 - June 4 cruise, but have heard nothing from Regent about its status. Obviously it isn't going to work now for a variety of reasons. Wonder how much longer they will keep this cruise supposedly active?

catenai Posted April 10, 2020 #71 Share Posted April 10, 2020 Last bit of news from Splendor is that there are 250 crew still on the ship. It is anchored off San Pedro (LA) California. Stay safe everyone.

flossie009 Posted April 13, 2020 #73 Share Posted April 13, 2020 Explorer left the port of Nassau, Bahamas on Saturday evening and is now shown heading slowly towards Miami; with a scheduled arrival time of 7am local time today, April 13. Mariner is still heading towards LA; scheduled to arrive tomorrow, April 14. (A belated Happy Easter to everyone 🍹. We should have been celebrating the festival on board Voyager, but sadly we are locked-down in the UK and Voyager is moored in Abu Dhabi )
Belfast Taxman Posted April 13, 2020 #74 Share Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) Interesting move by Explorer, possibly letting crew off ? Or maybe has entered US coastal waters so as to qualify for federal “compensation” related to the new CDC restrictions (a total guess) i have to admit Explorer interests me most as I am supposed to be on it in August. Susan - sorry that you are missing the joys of the Suez on Voyager, seems like only yesterday that you were heading south along the canal. Have you booked a replacement cruise ?
