That's wonderfully encouraging.

We're 10˚C going on 11˚C with hints of the sun behind the clouds.

Our Robins are still working really hard to fledge their brood and we have another pair of Robins just a few yards away doing their best for a brood in a separate nest.

We saw the National Theatre Live production of The Motive and the Cue yesterday... the unlikely story of the relation between Richard Burton and Sir John Gielgud as they rehearsed Hamlet in New York in 1964. Not everybody's choice... a play rehearsal from 60 years ago... sounded a bit stiff and dusty but we went... really powerful drama... main characters so totally believable that it was if we'd been transported back in time... immensely moving... tears... in the audience... and a gloriously happy ending.

It certainly gave us a tremendously positive  boost and we left the theatre so exhilarated and elated that the grey skies, the chilly breeze and the persistent drizzle somehow became of little importance.

Hope all are well and will enjoy something exciting today.

Good morning 10.c dull and damp here .

One of those days of feeling a bit washed out like the weather .

Checked my BP /o2 levels and everything is boringly normal so nowt

to worry about, just one of those off days today.

Hope you are all having a good day take care .🙂

I've noticed that you use an O2 monitor and wondered if it would be a good idea to buy one for Frank. We haven't be advised to have one, and we do keep a regular check on his BP and wondered if it might be wise to check his O2 levels too.

Any advice would be most welcome.

I am just catching up on posts for the last week, we are on Princess and I have to say that it is not only P&O where things have changed and not for the better.   The behaviour of some people leaves a lot to be desired, smart casual now means that it is OK wear a bikini top and shorts to dinner in the main restaurants and to let your children throw food at each other.  We got out of a lift this morning when we saw a family of 4 push past a lady in a wheel chair and her partner to get in to the lift.  We have said that we will not be sailing on Princess again after our next cruise which we have unfortunately already paid for so would lose over £5000. Carnival's current push to price low in order attract a rowdy heavy drinking sort of passenger is not for us.

Just got back from shopping with my friend. Trip to M & S got some t shirts & summer trousers, on to Asda for a quick look around as she says, then back to PZ Sainsburys for the clothes section! Normally one of us suggests coffee, but neither of us did & now I’m exhausted 🥱. Should get out in the garden as the sun’s actually out for 5 minutes. I’ll eat my custard slice first! 🤣

I’m sorry to read that Josy. Where have good manners and respect for others gone!

I do hope you are managing to relax, despite your fellow travellers.

I noticed if ever I felt unwell or Mrs K for that matter and we were in a medical place

then the nurse more often than not would pop an oxymeter on my finger.

Talking with a nurse, she said "why not " when I asked the same question as you

are asking.

The heart specialist seemed happy that I could give these readings along with my

BP readings ,on a telephone appointment with him .

I would say it's not vital but handy .

I got the knetic model from Argos that came with batteries but ended up buying

recharchable batteries and charger .

I even take it away on holidays as it's so small to pack .

Hope that helps .🙂

Reminds me of a man who was waiting for the lift with alot of us on disembarkation day. Lift furthest away from him came first. He went at speed in front of us, there was a young girl in a wheelchair on her own just getting ready to get in the lift when he skirted round her and jumped in the lift. I despair sometimes with some people fortunately not all. He looked to be in his thirties and how quickly he moved could have used the stairs as he had no luggage.

I despair of people sometimes, I really do. I must admit the lifts on Aurora were brilliant, big for the size of ship! Of course, as she’s smaller used the stairs quite a lot as well. We always self disembark now and the waiting for a lift on the last morning is normally quite bad. On Aurora we got in the first lift that arrived and just walked off the ship about 5 minutes after getting out the lift - bliss!

Well, what a day I've had! Just got back from the hozzie (thanks Kalos - love that word) where I've been since midday.

Very long story short, I was out for a walk with Ted. It started to rain and I took a tumble down some steps which were very slippery. I landed firstly on my back then my head hit another step - out cold. Fortunately, a lady I know was also out walking and saw it happen. She called for an ambulance and when I came round I was very sick and dizzy. Ambo came quickly and they decided I should go in because I'd lost consciousness. The ambo drivers were so sweet and kind. They drove me home to drop Ted off with my neighbour then took me off to A&E.

OMG the A&E was rammed. I've had CT scans of back and head- nothing fractured thank goodness. Five stitches in my head and thumping headache later I was discharged at 10pm. A&E still rammed.

I've come home with a massive bandage around my head and my granddaughters, very unkindly I thought, said I looked like a Smurf!

I've had better days!!!

Sleep well everyone.

That sounds like a really nasty accident. I hope you feel better in the morning, and that you are soon on the mend. Take care of yourself.

Oh goodness Jane, that sounds very nasty, but it can so easily happen. Thank goodness you are ok.

Im not usually awake at 3am, but couldn’t sleep (no reason) and so saw your post.

Please take it easy over the next few days- Ted won’t mind not having a walk - he will just want to be with you, as your accident will have scared him too.

Big hugs

So sorry to read your news, Jane, but much relief that you did not break any bones.  As you will know yourself, you will be suffering from shock and no doubt aches and pains from muscles hurt when you fell, so be really kind to yourself for some days, and let people do things for you until you really feel yourself again - in my recent experience of a fall it takes a couple of weeks to really feel fine again.

A very gentle hug from me too.

Oh Jane 😱

You’ll need to withdraw from the London marathon then?

Seriously, I’m so sorry it happened but thankful you haven’t done any serious harm

Bet you’re stiff and sore today 🤕

Others have offered good advice.  I’ll also suggest a handful or two of Epsom salts in a hot bath, if you can manage getting in and out.  Don’t drink it!!!

Hope your recovery is smooth and speedy

Whilst I’m here

SUE - I’m so glad you got on your Easter cruise

Everybody - Hello 👋. See you soon.  Have a good day

Oh heck Jane, what a day you have had.

The good news is you are ok despite a headache and a bit of an un-planned day.

Hopefully you will feel a bit better this morning, I am sure Ted will be giving you lots of loves and kisses

Take care

Jane

I can only echo what everyone else has said and hope that you heal quickly. Perhaps a drop of something might help you along your way, purely for medicinal purposes of course.
