We had perfect weather that trip. We loved Norway last year . We didn't have the pleasure of a sail in or out but we hired a guide in Alesund who drove us to Geiranger . The 7 Sisters On the other side of the boat is The Suitor Our guide brought us a picnic basket for lunch .

We haven't had a Pinnacle Suite yet but we've got the Neptune bug . Wow that looks like quite a line at Catherine's Palace . It was a huge line, but we had booked a private tour guide and driver for 2 days and never stood in a line. She was fantastic, ran us until we couldn't go any more, gave us more info than we could ever have thought of. Even a back door tour of the Hermitage where, again, the lines were so long. Had we not booked with her, the first line of the day would mean we would see only that site that day. We are sooooooo glad we booked a private tour guide and driver for this port! We love Saint Petersburg and private guides and did so on our last visit there last year on the Zuiderdam . We have stayed in SPB with a Visa 3 times but the cruise last year kind of last minute and we didn't have time to get one . We used Tours by Locals and boy we we surprised when they picked us up .

Rare crusinbanjo Posted March 26, 2020 #66 Share Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) Here are two photos from a 2008 cruise on Ryndam to the Western Caribbean, (I know its a little old), but still one of my favorites. the first is from Tikal in the jungles of Guatemala and the second is from a Myan site near Belize City. Funny Story about the photo from Tikal, we had to photoshop out an Aussie Girl who photobombed the original, then we couldn't get a clear background again because of people wandering behind us. Can anybody pick out the area that was shopped? Edited March 26, 2020 by crusinbanjo

We did 3 cruises last year and all were excellent. Now, with all that is happening, we realize how lucky and blessed we were!
