We left a Johnny Mathis concert because he was putting us to sleep.  One ballad after another but no lively change ups.  Dionne Warwick was a little odd also so we left that show.

Johnny isn’t exactly rock , we had front row seats two years ago to see him at winstar casino which is the largest casino in the world just over the Oklahoma border. Only time we go there is when there is a good concert.

Ok anyone ever walk out on a concert ? I walked out on Procol Harem in Fillmore East, opening acts were great including the Byrds this was 1969 right after I finished basic training. Fairly recently we walked out on Diana Ross she kept audience waiting for about a hour then sounded terrible, this was a charity event in Dallas.

I never walked out on a singer or group no matter how bad they were .

Didn’t walk out of the Aerosmith concert we went to cuz it was pretty good - considering that Steven Tyler kept “disappearing” backstage 😉🤨😏.  But ZZ Top was the opening act and they were fantastic.

Love his albums just not in person!

I never saw him live.I liked Chances Are.When he first began to record in the mid 50’s Rock music was in its infancy .It was the British Invasion in my opinion that changed the face of music.

What about Fleetwood Mac? wasn’t crazy about them back when they were a big thing, but I’ve come to appreciate them more lately.  Loved the book that was loosely based on Stevie Nicks, “Daisy Jones and the Six”.  Heard it’s being made into a movie - hope so.

How about just Stevie Nicks. Love her voice, love her looks. Put them together and she is mesmerizing.

You are so right.  The Twelfth of Never is my favorite Mathis song.

We saw Elvis, Bobby Darin, The Righteous Brothers and so many more in Vegas in the 70’s.

Oh you just reminded me. Saw Elvis at the Cow Palace, near San Francisco  in the very early 70’s. Def before 1973 which is when we moved to RI.  My Mom was a fanatic.

Havent had the chance to see them.  I'm jealous, I think that would be a great concert.

I've seen grateful dead just over 100 times, led zeppelin, pink floyd, tom petty, Crosby stills and nash, Chicago, Billy joel, Elton John and a bunch more I cannot remember right now.

Concert air does make us forget things. 😉

Surprisingly, for me at least because it wasn't really in my wheelhouse at the time, but Rod Stewart in 1990 was an amazing concert.  Amazing performance.

He is a very sexy mover in concert! :classic_biggrin: I've seen him a few times, I didn't realize how petite he is in real life. :classic_biggrin: Great fun at his earlier shows.
