Bailey & Sophie Posted June 17, 2023 #96051 Share Posted June 17, 2023 We went for our daily walk today. Weather was near perfect. Saw this cute guy on one of the fishing docks at one of the lakes we frequent. I got about 4 feet away. Pretty tame. Some of the kids fishing were feeding him their throwbacks. I also caught this kingfisher just perfect! He speared a tiny sunfish. You have to look pretty carefully to see it in perfect position for his meal.

The drive home was not fun. I still haven’t caught up with all your trip posts. I want to start from the beginning. I so wanted to climb a similar lighthouse recently but having had vertigo for an extended period in the past - it was a no go for me. Sorry you were so ill after your spiral climb.

Will use some of it to make a baked ziti or lasagna on July 4th for my wife’s birthday and our annual pool party , will also cook more Italian sausage for the party plus chicken on my grill. We have lots to celebrate first my birthday this week then our anniversary the following week followed by my wife birthday on the 4th . Nice to have fireworks on your birthday every year. Yum!! Happy Birthday to you and your wife and Happy Anniversary for this week too 🎉
George C Posted June 18, 2023 #96055 Share Posted June 18, 2023 Modestly speaking our meatballs are better than any restaurant, our sauce is really good but our friend who owned a Italian restaurant for thirty years is a little better. We started with Quilt red blend which is a very nice Napa I bought 8 bottles the other day during a wine sale at local supermarket, wine was 12 dollars less than total wine will buy every bottle I can find while sale is on .

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted June 18, 2023 #96057 Share Posted June 18, 2023 Pleasant Sunday in Sydney. Spent the afternoon at the Wildflower Gardens participating in a resin cheeseboard making glass. I’m not very artistic but I enjoyed the experience and loved seeing the other ladies creativity. Pick up my cheeseboard next week when the resin has set.

sgmn Posted June 18, 2023 #96061 Share Posted June 18, 2023 Happy Fathers Day to all dad's, grandads, stepdads and loved dad's who are no longer with us. Our lovely DIL has invited Gary and I, along with her dad, (who we get on with really well) to theirs for a BBQ today to celebrate the men in our lives. It looks like the hot spell may break today so it may be moved indoors. I'm making hot chocolate pudding with pears. We spent a couple of hours there yesterday trying to tame the jungle of their garden. Gardening definitely isn't their thing 😁

Keksie Posted June 18, 2023 #96066 Share Posted June 18, 2023 Made it to the ship. The internet is super slow so probably no pictures until we get back. The ma stiff club was staying at our hotel for the dog show. Only 2 fit in the elevator at a time. LOL. The food has been good. The drink count so far is 1 BBC and 2 dark and stormy. The don't use real bananas in the BBC and the taste is just not the same. Sea day today probably around the pool.

Prior to that we had been on Hal with my parents. Loved the ship and the crew. Enjoy 😃 1

Ullswater is probably the prettiest lake in the Lake District. The Hotel Inn on The Lake at Glenridding on Ullswater is lovely and a regular place we have lunch. We had a nice room overlooking the lake when we stayed there. Prince William and Kate have visited here.
