Rare Lionesss Posted July 26 #126476 Share Posted July 26 Now. My kitchen has to be super clean, and on the rare occasion the rest of the house could have dust bunnies. I keep 2 tablecloths on the kitchen table. Why? Well, I always thought that “the cat” would walk on it and everyone knows where their paws have been. I would remove the top table cloth before we set the table to enjoy a meal. Well Lizzy must have known the top tablecloth was being washed and she saw the opportunity to push my buttons. The spray bottle resolved the situation. 5
FromSea2ShiningSea Posted July 26 #126477 Share Posted July 26 7/8/2024- 2nd port- Molde, Norway Our shore excursion took us to the Romsdal Museum, a historical open-air museum. This peaceful and picturesque setting gave insight into tradition, life and culture of Molde in the pre-war era. All the houses except for the church have been transported to this site for preservation. We were treated to a choir and dance performance by the local children. 29

dani negreanu Posted July 26 Author #126480 Share Posted July 26 After the Friday evening meal together, DH, DS1 and me were very excited to view the Olympic Games opening ceremony. At the beginning we were very impressed by the "innovative" approach of the delegates sailing along the Seine and the various performances at the same time. After a while, it started to be quite confusing -- too much going on at the same time. It might be us, but we gave up at the letter N 😕

Evidently, they had to make some minor modifications. Maybe they needed a third concrete block! That is one of our favorite rides there. Growing up, I had cousins in Pittsburgh. I would go spend a couple weeks with them in the summer. I remember going to Kennywood once. It was the early 70’s so maybe they are upgrading from back then. Thanks for bringing back a fun memory of my youth. 😊

ValerieJo Posted July 26 #126483 Share Posted July 26 A special day today. My grandson turns 18 today. Not sure how it happened so fast. We will be celebrating on Sunday. Doug and I are thinking of going to the movies tonight. We haven’t been since before Covid. I keep hearing how great the new “Twisters” movie is. Some friends saw it yesterday and loved it. I looked up showtimes and it’s actually playing at the Drive in theater. I went and bought car snacks, so I think we’re good if we decide to go. Just not sure we can stay up that late anymore. 😂 Hope everyone has a great weekend. 15

Staying up late is hard and so is getting my husband interested in sitting through a full movie. A drive in sounds fun along with car snacks. 2
FromSea2ShiningSea Posted July 26 #126485 Share Posted July 26 Molde con’t After Romsdal Museum, the tour bus took us back to the city center. We had a choice at that point to let the bus take us back to the ship or be on our own and walk back to the ship along the harbor. We chose the latter. It was a very pleasant walk. We almost always go to movies in the afternoon, and we go about once a month to movie studio grill since they serve drinks and food . We are also planning to see twister this weekend. I also would like to see Deadpool and Wolverine.

Too long for me but they don’t get to do this often so making the most of it . 4

There was too much going on and the split screen for commercials didn’t help. Sometimes brevity is better. I guess , I’m more of a traditionalist . Some of it didn’t appeal to me at all.

The Happy Hour food was generally very good- chicken wings, vegetable egg rolls, pot stickers, spicy salmon sushi rolls…We hardly get to go in there though because we had early dining. The most we could spend in there was 15 minutes. I hope you have a great cruise with your family! Should be coming up soon?

The last time we've gone was when we used to stay at the Cabin in Smallwood, N.Y. when our daughters were younger. I guess it's been well over 35 years or more since going. Happy 18th Birthday to your grandson!!!🎈 1
