I'm too "changing the pace" with Carl Hiaasen, Stephanie Plum's series or Nora Roberts, Philippa Gregory, etc.

Have you read Lisa See? Her grandfather was one who started Chinatown in (I think) San Francisco. The last one I read was The Island of Sea Women. She usually writes from a Chinese perspective but this one was Korean based, and went into detail about how Korea got divided up.

So many good books out there.

I kind of remember eating at one as a very young child in California, maybe I was in grade two. I think the menu had a story of a young boy being chased around a coconut tree by a tiger and the kid slipped up the tree. The tiger didn’t see him and then perhaps turned himself into butter for the pancakes.

I mean we are going back some 40 years or so, so my memory isn’t good on the butter story.

Definitely not Politically Correct

We have the children's book somewhere

Yes, I remember Sambos.  When I was a little girl we use to go for family breakfast after church on Sundays.     I vaguely remember the story on the menu but sounds like you have it right.

That’s what is vaguely in my mind as well. For some reason I remember the pancakes more.😋

We only went to Denny's for breakfast.

I always get the philysteak omelette and Pauline got the

Fit Fare Veggie Skillet.

Longhorn steakhouse was always our night time eating venue.

The Porterhouse steak was my favourite.

Sorry but not really great places for good food. Longhorns puts too much salt on their meat. Denny’s is just above McDonalds. IMO

Ok drone folks, how well do they film at night?

That is a lot of paper bag lights to turn on & off (if that is what they are :classic_biggrin: ) They look beautiful!
