Payne Stewart was the best dressed golfer imo ever. I loved the knickers. Originally from Springfield, MO he would often stop in Kansas City for events. I’ve interviewed him many times and always found him to be one of the nicest and most pleasant people I’ve ever met. A true class act who left us way to soon in that tragic plane crash.

Yikes!😮

He always had a smile for us.
That was such a sad day for us all.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but since this is sort of a 'catch-all' thread, I'll throw it in....the Endurance expedition found Shackleton's ship!!  Fascinating!  https://endurance22.org  It is described as being amazingly intact. Sank (crushed by the pack ice) in 1915. Of special interest, of course, to anyone who has been down there. We did a "drive-by" in '17. Loved it!

I saw the photo. It really does look intact.

After our Eataly dinner, We wandered through the casinos on Sunday night. We went to the Bellagio to see what was in the conservatory, but they were actually in the middle of remodel. This was the first out of all my times in Vegas that they didn’t have a display up!

i still love the lobby decor tho:

Sharon’s mom has been with us for the last two weeks. They have been working on quilts.  They are working on the last 2 today which will be 22 quilts made.  There is a lady in town that will provide batting, hand sew the edge and run them through a quilting machine.  Sharon’s mom has 24 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren.  When the grandchildren were born she knitted each a baby blanket.  When they got married she made them each a queen size quilt blanket.  For the Great Grandchildren she quilted baby blankets.  The ones they made the last 2 weeks are for future babies.  Right now on the way is #56 (Shelby’s 1st, our 7th) and mom’s 1st great, great, grandchild.  Here are a few…

My DD’s MIL made a baby quilt for all 42 of her grandchildren. Yes, 42!

So Maryann, Charlie woke up last Tuesday the 1st with severe arm pain.  He could move it but it hurt too much.  Off to the ER we went.  After all day and night they decided he had pneumonia which caused the arm pain.  He was treated almost a week with IV antibiotics and is now home.  They said the arm was cellulitis, infection from the pneumonia.  It never ends!

So sorry to hear about Charlie's pneumonia.  I had heard that cellulitis was painful.  Poor Charlie!  I'm glad to hear that he is now home and out of the hospital.  Poor you, also;  it's exhausting worrying plus traveling back and forth for the hospital visits.

Beautiful quilts, every one of them!!  My Great Aunt Fran has been making beautiful quilts her entire life.  She just turned 90 last week, and is still going strong making quilts for family.

I had to say goodbye to my Kubota today.  He was the sweetest cat.  We got him 15 years ago with his brother Cinnamon.  His brother is the same color but has short hair.

We arrived at the stadium to find out we had to pay $20 to bag check my wallet and her clutch. They had a specific size of clutch they would only let in and to be honest I’ve never even seen a clutch that small…and no wallet?

once we put our items in lockers, we made our way into the stadium.

Let’s make our way to the ACMs shall we?

We finished shopping and headed back to our rooms to get ready. The doors to the stadium were opening at 3 and we decided to walk there since it was close and nice outside.
