Both decisions were Weak.

Do you think Pete Rose would have sat out the last game to protect a batting title? Not a chance!

That's the difference between the game back then and now.

Still can't believe the Mets Blew a 10 game lead.

The last guy to hit 400 was Ted Williams on last day of the season he was at 400 and could have sat out, it was a double header I believe he got 6 hits .

Well, I saved some time by not watching it. I've always felt that the re-dos of those old shows just aren't as good as the originals.

The only thing this show has in common with the old is taking place on a ship.

The only thing I saw in common was the name and a ship that they didn't show much.  We were basically waiting for Amazing Race.  Love Boat was annoying background noise.

I love these skinnymixes too!   I currently have pumpkin spice and hazelnut for a little splash in my coffee.   I have used their peach one for cocktails and sometimes ice cream.

Does the pumpkin spice taste very good? Much of am artificial taste?

My cousin actually works for the LA Kings.  Years ago (before he even graduated high school), he met the owner and they got to talking about his love of hockey and how he wanted to be a sports reporter.  The owner said to let him know when he graduated college, as he would be happy to have my cousin work for him.

Over the summer, he finally got a job offer from them and now works in their marketing department.

I have a cousin who works for the California Angels .He is an Accountant but he has the opportunity to travel with the team when they come to NY.

But McNeil sat out the last game and didn't play. 😞 and Freeman of the Dodgers played the last game and went 3 for 4 and finished just 1 point behind McNeil.

Wasn't cool for McNeil to take the title when sitting out the last game. Not Cool!

He did not opt to sit out.The team Manager sat all the regulars out except Lindor and Canha. If it was up to McNeil he would have played.

Unfortunately, the Braves had the better head to head record. That's kinda important.  What I meant by my comment was no matter how well the Mets finish, they only win division if someone else beats the Braves.

They had their chance to do it themselves, and didnt.

Good luck in Wildcard series.Braves will be resting their rotation

The Braves did not look too good the past two days.If the rules had not changed this year the Braves and the Mets would have played a one game playoff.

No doubt, the Mets had a great season & every Met fan should be proud no matter what happens the rest of the way. I credit Buck Showalter. Hopefully the Met's keep him around long enough to eventually win a World Series. His history is such that it's usually the year after he leaves that his team wins it all (1996 Yankees, 2001 Diamondbacks).  Always the empire-builder but never the emperor.

It's amazing that both teams had identical 101-61 records but the Braves had the tie breaker with 10-9 head-to-head competition.  One game made all the difference, proof that the regular season matters and every game counts.  I like that MLB finally instituted a tie-breaking rule rather than a one-game play-in, giving more significance to the regular season record.

Gotta give credit to the Braves. They hung in all season and got hot when it counted.  Now hopefully  the players won't get rusty during the 6 days between games. Baseball players are creature of habits & like to play every day. Same goes for the Yankees, Astro's, Dodgers, etc.

I believe that the Mets will have an advantage by only having today off.

We also pulled the trigger about a month ago.

Let me know how you like it?  I have not messed around with mine too much except for change some settings. Got a new magnetic mount. I hope it works better than the failed suction cup mount.

I just returned from the Moh’s surgeon for my second follow up from the surgery I had 5 weeks ago.He discharged me although I still have a small hole on my forehead which he said will heal naturally.

On Tuesday I am going to the Neurologist who specializes in Parkinson’s that I have been waiting 6 months to see.

That is so awesome.  I think the longest trip  from home I've ever taken as an adult was 21 days & that didn't feel like it was long enough.

The longest we’ve done is 28 and I agree it’s always to short. This month with October and some of November will be 30 days and will still be to short.

This afternoon was a difficult one to be with our grandkids.  We knew it was only a matter of time before Lucy would pass on.

She was so tiny when our daughter got her.

And, of course, she had grown by the time our grandkids came along, and she loved those Christmas presents.

So sorry to hear about Lucy. It’s always so hard to lose a beloved pet. I’m sure she had a wonderful life and they will have many happy memories of her. Love the stone. Did you order it from somewhere or buy it locally?

Don't believe that for one minute, If McNeil had went into Bucks office and said I want to play today, I want to win the batting title fair and square Buck would have put him in the lineup. I doubt very much he did that.

Some players have bonuses in their contract for winning various awards, not sure or not if Jeff had that in his contract or not.......Some players do have stuff like that in their contracts.

We may never know the real truth.

In post game interviews McNeil stated he wanted to play.Showalter did not refute that. When Jose Reyes won the batting title in 2011 he opted not to play the last game of the season and the NY Sportwriters and on air Sports show hosts blasted him for that decision and still do to this day. They would have done the same thing to McNeill.

It say a third of a mile from St. Marco, and 8 mins walk to Rialto.

As said, the kitchen clinched the deal, and the apt. seems very airy 😉

What a great kitchen and a terrific location , too.  You’ll have to post some pics of your sumptuous meals by your chef par excellence.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve noticed some tremors in my hand. I was concerned about Parkinson’s but my doctor says it’s normal with age. I guess time will tell.
