xlxo Posted August 14, 2020 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2020 (edited) I'm going to guess the cancelled Alaska cruise food is going to a good cause... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/cruise-line-donation-to-greater-vancouver-food-bank-1.5685389 announced that cruise line Holland America had donated seven shipping containers measuring more than 15 metres full of surf and turf and other luxury food items. "It's well in excess of $200,000 in value," Thank-you HAL Edited August 14, 2020 by xlxo

SilvertoGold Posted August 14, 2020 #8 Share Posted August 14, 2020 Our Food Bank here in Vancouver is doing a fantastic job, providing a great assortment of fresh meats, fruit and vegetables and bakery items, as well as packaged food. HAL has provided a wonderful addition and I am really pleased :)

ehogan Posted August 14, 2020 #10 Share Posted August 14, 2020 Thanks HAL from a Vancouverite...there are a lot of families in need here. Post vaccine we will be on the first HAL Alaska cruise we can. Our very first cruise was on a HAL cruise to Alaska in 1989 and we have enjoyed every cruise we have taken with them.
