As a grisly piece of trivia, the passengers on TE-901 the Air New Zealand sightseeing plane which crashed on Mt Erebus in Antarctica had been served Peach Melba dessert at the time of impact.

Correct, Melba House has been relocated to Marian in the Pioneer River Valley. Originally, house was built for the Sugar Mill Manager in Mirani ( also in Pioneer Valley). Nellie was the wife of the Manager. She became dissillusioned with life in the tropics before returning to Melbourne.
