I'm going to throw out Stalag Luft III

You are in the right country however it is not any kind of prison but like Stalag a Hollywood film was made about the events commemorated in the pictured memorial

The memorial is at the building they blew up, as you can see not a lot was left. The most interesting thing at the site for me however was going into the air raid shelters. Tiny little passage ways, no ventilation it was so hot I think I would have taken my chances outside😄. Here is the memorial up close:

Thank you, I wasn't aware there was any of that compound left.

I will try to find something interesting but easy, bed time for me soon

Exactly right Uncle Les, you are entitled to a free tour of Greater Victoria including a B52 Breakfast at Spitfire Grill, the only catch is you are responsible for getting here😁. By the way we have 2 craft cideries close by.

Somewhere on this image is the name of Alexis Helmer, The young man who's death inspired John McCrae to write "In Flanders Fields"

Ah, so I was right, I was waiting for reply. Thanks, Sweet dreams Lyle.  During our Flanders Fields Tour, I did visit that site re Dr John McCrae, Canadian Army Doctor. Moving.

What !! No return business class ticket on ye olde Air Canada Sopwith Camel?  Standby for a pic, just before happy hour.

The value of the tour is worth the cost of getting here😇

Yes I was at the "Flanders Fields" site as well. I broke my camera there

HMS Belfast moored across the Thames from The Tower of London

I was going to bar you from this one, you old salt. Yes, well done, HMS Belfast, decommissioned cruiser, I had a great time doing the self guided tour. I think my wife spent the day in the nearest Marks and Spencer store, lol.  Way too easy that one.

1st class tickets on BA, Vancouver to LHR on the way,
