suzyluvs2cruise Posted October 15, 2020 #152 Share Posted October 15, 2020 If the lounges are open when cruising resumes I'm curious about how Social Distancing will be handled? And will it be the responsibility of the Concierge to enforce it?

I'm guessing you or @John&LaLa know the proper term. A Pinnacle is a Pinnacle no matter what cabin they are in. Contrary to what some think, I don’t have an issue with Pinnacle’s as a group. I have suggested, on some ships/cruises/dates, that Royal provide an exclusive area just for Pinnacles. M8

That's why I said 'some'. In fact, I'm thinking there are more D & D+ have Suites booked in 2021 than there were in 2019 or 2020. It appears the fear of being quarantined in your cabin is real. As a result, Suites are going at a premium.
frank808 Posted October 15, 2020 #156 Share Posted October 15, 2020 Communism? You know the guy who rang me up at Staples was studying an economics book. He is getting his second masters. Glad I am not entering the job market now. I would book a suite if I had more income, can they not take my word for it and reward me based on what I would do if I could?Even in communism, the ruling party is more equal than others. Every socialist and communist nation in the world!, the ruling party is more equal than the plebes Leadership gets better everything compared to the commoners. Though their philosophy tends to say there is no class divide and everyone is equal.Sent from my SM-T377P using Tapatalk

Dress Code (no shorts) 2. No taking of drinks from lounge (it used to be fun watching folks fill their coffee cups with booze before leaving. 3. Bringing friends into the lounge It's hard to imagine they will begin to enforce rules Post-COVID

Have you ever seen a concierge ask to see a sea pass card? They simply assume if you can get in you must belong. We had one excellent concierge who checked cards every night. On occasion, on another ship, there would sometimes be monitors at the doors of the lounge, but that was the exception to the rule.

It takes a serious asshat or perhaps someone(s) in a liquidated state of mind to 'sneak' into a lounge or anywhere really unless you're a college aged kid. I've actually been invited to D & above events by another guest w/ the approval of the concierge. I imagine if a concierge is at the door checking seapasses, there is an over abundance of D's in a very crowded DL trying to find comfort space or an overly crowded CL w/ no room to spare. But just as many times I've seen no one doing it. I don't immediately assume nefarious behavior. Maybe they'll just scan your card for each drink instead

When I said I would like to hear them say Suite P's at the Top Tier Party, that's what I meant. So yes in that regard I care. I think self realization of what the sole truly likes is central to a happy life. I am very happy that you have found peace in not attending the top tier party. I feel the same way about Saunas. Who cares. I gave up on them years ago. Only difference is I wouldn't go in a sauna even if it was at the Aqua Theater. I hope we are soon cruising and getting to do what we love. You skipping the top tier party and me not going to the sauna. 2
