I too was approved for this credit and thought it would  be applied to my 14 day cruise in Nov. 2021.  It was never put on my personalizer.  I called Princess and was told to be patient.   Still never applied.  Called again yesterday and was told they have no record of it and to call SheerID.  E mailed SheerID and waiting for their response

Called Princess today and after many sessions "on hold", the woman told me the credit disappears Dec 7, because it says you have to book a cruise by Dec 7 to apply the OBC to.  She said you had to personally tell them to apply the credit to a cruise you have booked (before Dec 7).  I thought it was automatically applied to a future cruise.  She suggested I write to customer relations to see if they can straighten it out.   She also said there was no record of me having been approved for this promotion at all anyway!!  I told her I had the email from Sheer ID verifying me and saying I was approved, and I had seen the OBC in my cruise personalizer for a brief moment before it disappeared.  I will attach the email in my letter to the customer relations and see what they say!  Wish me luck ....

my wife's credit was verified by SheerID - it's in her account and our PVP will apply it on Monday

Princess is using Sheer ID.  I contacted Princess and inquired if they would consider using ID.me in the future since this company is certified to verify active and retired first responders.

Thanks for the information.  We are too late for this promotion but will wait to see if offered again.  Great thank-you from Princess.

Not to beat a dead horse... but I called Princess and was told that sheer I’d did not verify so it was never given to me (no matter that it was in my planner two days ago in addition to receiving verification email).  I was told to email customer service and help desk at sheer Id (which I just did).  I’m sure sheer I’d is going to put it back on Princess so...I think this whole thing was probably a waste of time.  Not that this obc is going to break the trip, but it has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Please come back and let us know what customer relations say.

I was approved for this credit and after about two weeks the OBC amount did show up under Onboard Credits.  Our Cruise Vacation Planner said he would get it applied to our newly booked (prior to the 7th of December) November 2021 (3 day) cruise.  Not only did this OBC never show as having been applied to the booking, it is now gone from the Onboard Credits and today the entire booking is gone also.  I have not received any communication from Princess that this sailing has been cancelled.

Something is going on with the Princess website. Both of our upcoming booked cruises are missing as is access to our saved ones.

Well good news!  I heard from Sheer ID and was told the info was verified to Princess.  Sheer ID gave me a request ID number and referred me to Princess cs 1-800-774-6237.  I called and spoke to the nicest and most helpful woman and after giving her the number and being placed on hold for a short time...the onboard credit was applied!  I then called Costco to finalize the transfer of my reservation and it was there on the invoice!  Viola!  Hope this can help someone else. Now, the trick will be for the credit to remain on reservation until next November!

Good, but you should edit and take out the name of the travel agency as naming travel agents is not allowed. Otherwise it is possible that the moderator will take down your post.

It seems like this could be a win-win.

The front line folks get a small thank-you from Princess.

And, Princess now has a pool of early vaccine recipients that can 'test' cruises,

possibly giving a view into the future.

And, any medical professional who had to treat a covid patient ... where the patient

claimed covid was a hoax ... should get a free cruise.

With the drink package!

This OBC offer is nothing but a scam.  Approved on the 16th November 2020 but still not applied to booking and Princess representatives are claiming it has already been applied.  Cruise Vacation Planner not responding to my inquiries regarding this either.  If others have been successful in getting this OBC offer applied then I am happy for you.  I'm glad I held off sending the letter of appreciation to the Princess suits I was going to send on behalf of Princess extending this offer.  I'm very dissatisfied with Princess' customer service and this scam of an offer, in my opinion, has only created ill will.

Finally after 4 calls, several emails and contacted SheerID, success! I was on hold with Princess for over an hour while they tried to figure it out, I had to hang up. I called back several days later spoke to another rep and I could tell she knew what she was doing. I got the medical promotion applied and some OBC that dropped off my account for some unknown reason.  I told them about my fellow bloggers on this site. Told them it looks really shady to offer Healthcare workers promotions and do not honor it or make us jump through hoops. I got a call from Princess today to make sure that I was satisfied and if they could do anything else. So I would suggest just keep trying. I was verified November 7 th...So took over a month but for me it was worth the effort. SheerID and Princess are having some communication challenges. Hope this helps.

I was approved in November, the OBC showed up in my account yesterday, then today when I checked again it had disappeared!  I was going to apply it to a cruise I had booked for Jan 2022.  I tried doing the online chat thing, but the guy was very unhelpful, just told me there was no OBC in my account and none was applied to my future cruise.  He said the promotion had ended.  I'm glad I saved the email that says I have been approved and will have to call Princess directly to see if they can straighten it out.  Has anybody else had this experience of the credit disappearing?

I just checked and mine is missing.  Now I have a Casino credit that wasn't there before.

After several failed attempts by out TA, I called Princess directly today and was able to have this credit applied to the booking of our choice. I was surprised that they would deal with me directly on this, but maybe Covid-19 has changed that rule also. Fortunately I had recorded the credit ID #   before it left the personalizer.

After talking to Princess, they said to email customer relations, which I did.  They then called back and said they had applied it to my future cruise.  I keep watching and don't see it there, so I emailed them again and they called back again and said it is there.  How are you folks seeing the credit?  How do I get into this "cruise personalizer" you say it shows up in?

Hi Brandybit,

It shows up on my travel summary at the bottom combined with other OBC. It is also listed the same way in the payment section (I don’t use a travel agent). There is no reference to the medical promotion.

Hope this helps.

I have no OBCs listed in that section. My thought is they are overriding the system just to get those OBC listed so we leave them alone. I do remember my rep saying let me see if I can override the system. Some reps have more authority to do so. I had a manager get on with the rep and they did something. I keep an eye on it because they may drop off like another OBC . You can also asked them to look at the audit trail. All transactions are recorded. Don’t give up...give it a break and try back.
