Hi All

Can anyone confirm what  reduced rates are not qualified for the share holder benefit?

Has anyone received this benefit while using a casino rate?

Thanks for the help

There is no reduced rate for having stock, just OBC depending on the length of the cruise.  I have always been able to get it while on a casino booking, even the free cruises.

I understand, in the terms it states that reduced rate bookings do not qualify for the share holder OBC but doesn’t go into specifics of which exact rates those are.

Thanks for the note about free cruises because I have a few booked.

I've gotten the Shareholders' OBC for casino reduced rate, but never for a comp'd cruise--I've tried and always gotten an email saying it isn't authorized with a comp' cruise.

That's weird.  I got $250 for my Hawaii cruise in December.  Maybe it's because we pay to upgrade the cabin offered?

Cruises of 14 or more days have $250 for stockholder's OBC. Type of cabin does not matter.

From what I have gathered, when you upgrade on a free cruise you pay some $$ which keeps ypu from being denied the shareholder credit.

What I'm saying here is that people said they don't get the OBC for a comped cruise.  All they pay is taxes and fees.  What I mean is that maybe because I choose to upgrade and they get some $$ out of me is why they give me the shareholder OBC.  There has to be a reason why I get it and others don't.

And that makes sense since once you pay for the upgrade, it is not fully comped.

I have always gotten the Shareholders On Board Credit, but like suekel, I have also always upgraded the cabin (and it is not a cheap upgrade to mini-suite or club class, even at casino rates!).  I think Jadn's surmise seems right!

Yes, in the terms it states what you are referring to. However, I know of no cruise rate that is not reduced from the list price. Do you? All are a certain percentage of off the list price, which no one ever pays. I have always received my stock OBC and my Veterans OBC no matt how much the discount was. You say you have a few booked. You need to file for the Stock discount for any cruise you ahve booked.

Thank You! I plan on filing for all  but won’t be upset if my comped cruises w/o upgrades don’t qualify. .

Since I started this thread I thought I would update it with my experience.

I have 3 casino cruises booked all are  comped cabins and one I upgraded.

I received shareholder OBC  for all 3.

It’s definitely worth the 3 minutes to submit (email)

Sorry i'm late in seeing this thread and some of the above posts are correct so I'll put mine in as well.  The SHB is not tied into whatever the fare discounting or other perks are.  It is solely based upon your ownership of CCL stock and that's it.
