well, I think I need to go back to check this out. 🤔 The thirty euros included the boat transfer to Oia and the private bus from Oia to Fira

Just did! The website still says 15 € - and that’s what we always paid 🤷🏻
Maybe you remembered the price for two…

Anyway, it‘s still a great way to explore Santorini and beats waiting for the cable car.

Perhaps they’ve doubled their prices!! But thanks for confirming that it is now operating.

Is there an outside jogging track and what distance is one lap please?

Assume jogging is maskless! 🥵

You will love the jogging track.   It traverses 2 floors so it give you a bit of an extra workout on the mildly inclined ramped area.

Could someone translate the posts that are  not in English? ..thanks.

Question was -  We also go with the Apex, and got Sky suite 7309. We wonder if we won't have noise pollution from the Eden below? Thanks in advance for responses.

Answer -

not sure if it will be much noise from downstairs. Eden was pretty quiet on this cruise. If you don't get an answer from this board, try it on the Edge sails.

This is per Google Translate.... really handy.

I’m not sure “love” is the right word!!!

Good to see you posting again!

Question to those just off the Apex.

Was express walk off or early departure offered?

Our 12 nt cruise on Reflection was canceled and we now bit the bullet and replaced it with Apex. However, we will add a week on one of the islands, probably Naxos or Paros. So we want to get one of the ferries as early as possible.

Thank you!

Miaminice, Apex did offer express walkoff. We were off the ship at 6:30 and on our tour by 6:45. Very easy and no customs.

Seabourn Ovation in Greece has No Masks on their first Greek sailing out of Athens. Just wondering if Apex Mask policy has changed?

So here is what I observed. YMMV. The mask policy is mask on when indoors and out. In reality, the only time I saw passengers with masks on outside was when they were transiting from one inside spot to another. Typically by way of the pool deck. I never experienced anyone being asked to mask up outdoors. Or, indoors for that matter. Indoors, passengers were wearing masks while walking around but once they found a spot to sit, the masks came off. Towards the end of the cruise most people in the casino were maskless regardless of whether they had a drink or not. The crew were always masked up. Here’s a final shot of us at the sunset bar on our billion dollar private yacht!

RE: Santorini. Did you use ships tenders to get to Fira or the bigger local tenders that drop off at the new port? If the latter was there a provided shuttle into Fira?

I was watching the a Santorini Live webcam and could clearly see the ships tenders where not used and local boats where going back and forth

Hello PTCruizer, thanks for the great post and info!  2 questions please:

1. did Apex perform a second covid test prior to disembark?  if so, what day was the test performed?  I think someone mentioned about the second covid test prior to disembarkation, we might be able to use the test result to fly back to US same day without doing another covid test in Athens.

2. Do you remember what time was express walk off?  Not sure if catching a flight by 9 AM would be possible...

thanks in advance!

Hi Tyrannosaur,

I was on the same cruise and can answer you question about the 2nd test. All

passengers were tested on Friday morning before noon. We were notified by email of our results which were on the safety app provided. And then a printed letter with the test that was used and results was delivered to our stateroom on Friday evening.
Regarding walk-off, it was available starting at 6:30. We chose to leave later and were off the ship just before 9am.

Regarding the PLF for Greece, did you do one per person, or one per family/couple?  it asks for travel companions/family, so just want to clarify.  Thanks!

It is one per family or traveling companion. And they were definitely wanting to see the QR code you are sent before you get to que up for immigration.

On Wednesday we were in Santorini until 10:30 pm. We booked a ships tour to Oia which included a walking tour of Oia, a stop at the Santos winery and a photo stop in Fira. The walk through Oia would have been better if our tour guide wasn’t Frau Blucher from Young Frankenstein. The lady was just not pleasant and downright mean. She barked orders and treated the group like we were in kindergarten. Chastising those who stopped to take photos of the incredible views in Oia. She pushed the group to hurry to a location where she then put us on our own for an hour. Made no sense at all. Luck of the draw I guess. We made the decision to bail in Fira and not ride the bus back to the tender stop.  The winery visit was nice. We tried three wines and they were served with some Greek Mezzes. After the winery the bus stopped in Fira for a photo op. Those that wanted to leave the tour were free to do so. Lunch was at Argo restaurant which was very nice. We took the cable car down to the port and tendered back to the ship. Here are a few photos from the day and the pool deck. Oh, the sunset was spectacular.

Did you stay on the ship for sunset or hang around the island? Thanks!

Love  is the perfect word for me to use to describe the jogging track. Every cycle around the track meant I could eat another dessert. I love that!

We decided to stay on the ship for the sunset. It was beautiful but I can't wonder what it would have looked like from the altitude of Santorini.

Hi @PTCruizer,

What night was the Chef's Table? In the Cruise Planner, it has it as embarkation day which is less than ideal.

Thank you for the great review! We are looking forward to this sailing!

The embarkation day is a placeholder for the actual day. Our day was on Monday night, Limassol port day.
