We have lost nine cruises to the shut down. CaroleC Posted September 3, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2021 (edited) We were on the Freedom in May 2019 out of San Juan, Southern Caribbean itinerary. We had a land based vacation in Turkey later that year, however in hindsight, I wish we had taken another cruise instead as we had to endure a 2 year wait before we set foot on a ship again. Up until then we’d always done Caribbean cruises when we came over from the UK. The Canada/NE sailing was such a welcome change of scenery. Definitely would do it again if we are ever allowed back into America 😄 Edited September 3, 2021 by CaroleC
orange6crush Posted September 3, 2021 #12 Share Posted September 3, 2021 Grandeur of the seas out of Baltimore November 2019. Because of storm we had to sit in the bay for a while before heading out to the Atlantic.
Guest BigRoger Posted September 3, 2021 #13 Share Posted September 3, 2021 (edited) Allure TA to Barcelona…. Was totally awesome except for watching the news! Loved every minute of it…. And so thankful we were able to fly out of Barcelona airport before it shut down….since then we’ve had that many cancellations we are sailing (nearly for free until mid next year…)…. As so nice to get back on a ship on Anthem B2B in august… you forget how much sailing with rC is like coming home…. Rare kernow Posted September 3, 2021 #18 Share Posted September 3, 2021 Jewel from Dubai in Feb 2020, it should have been Quantum from Singapore which was the first RCL cruise to be cancelled so we switched to Jewel.
samiam0403 Posted September 3, 2021 #19 Share Posted September 3, 2021 Carnival Breeze, March 2020. The world stopped about 4 or 5 days into our 7 day cruise. It was positively surreal getting off the ship at an empty port when we returned to the US.

Sunshine3601 Posted September 3, 2021 #21 Share Posted September 3, 2021 Did a side by side cruise Jan 2020 - 7 nights on Allure then hopped onto Serenade for a b2b - 10 night & 11 night - almost a full month of sailing. Was an amazing trip. Flew home from FLL airport Superbowl weekend with a whole bunch of sick coughing people in airport lounge and we were both very ill about 5 days later, will never know if it was covid as someone else on here said. I have had over a dozen cruises cancelled since March 2020. Next one booked is Oasis on 9.26
