That's what I was thinking too. Twitter or Instagram or FB would be good. That's seriously really screwed up that they are doing that. USUALLY when people win a prize and have paid for an upgrade, they get treated really well. Not thrown under the bus like this.

I just wanted exactly what I paid to them already, plus the "claimed" hundred dollars in Sailor Loot... After about an hour on the phone, hopefully this is all worked out... I'm going to tell you right now, that dealing with Virgin Voyages is an excruciating process, and I almost regret booking with them altogether...

 

 

They probably gave you a run of the house room when you won, most contests with prizes like that usually have that in the official rules (I've won a few "free" cruises in onboard drawings and free hotel rooms over the years at my local casino and in vegas.) Pretty much every time I've won one I've had to upgrade it or been stuck in a really bad room. Even with the upgrade, you were always the person who was going to get bumped first. I'd guess that they are so new that the customer service agents aren't able to explain that to you.

Hi Sid. I only just discovered your review yesterday and have really enjoyed catching up. I just wanted you to know that I had a cruise that had a really bad start to it (you are way more cruised than I am so I'm sure it paled in comparison). To make matters worse, I was on the last thread of my last nerve at work when I finally got to go. The botch ups were not the cruise line but the airlines. It was a really inauspicious beginning to the cruise, but we made it on board on time and the rest was pure enjoyment. Just remember how much you really want this cruise and let it be everything you hoped for. As for the rest of the "aggravation" (an understatement in your case), this too shall pass.

Sid...cannot believe this has happened to you!  But then again....in these days and times....I guess I can...it totally sucks...I'm hoping you can at least have a good cruise and maybe once on board can negotiate a better deal....That is really really bad customer service..and I would let everyone I could know..It's been a cluster since you first started dealing with them...

 

Safe trip today and try to have a good cruise...hope the food makes up for all this...

Travel day!... On the one hand, I sort of feel bad about yelling at the customer service rep at Virgin Voyages, but I also feel that they're being completely unfair to a customer who has already suffered seven cancellations, and had the faith to rebook with them yet again... Anyhoo, hopefully the on board experience will make things right with the World...

Hopefully you can sort it out once onboard. Tell them your Tribe, which is many, are not happy  Give them the link to your “Live” cruise

The Uber showed up pretty quickly, and I was on my way to the Marta station... I was telling the driver how it was charging me thirty bucks to go what amounts to a couple of miles. He said that he would cancel my ride and take me there for $20 in cash, so that's what I did... I'm here waiting on the train now, and I'm glad that I brought both of my Breeze cards, because one was completely empty...

 

Next stop, the Atlanta airport...

They changed the location of the TSA pre check, so I enjoyed a little adventure on the way to security... Luckily, my bags cleared the scanner without a trip to the naughty room, and I'm now at the gate with plenty of time to spare... Next stop: Miami!!!...
