firefightermediclasvegas Posted October 14, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2021 (edited) Has anyone pre-purchased casino credits before their cruise? Several years ago I pre-purchased credits a month before our cruise and was able to cash out unused funds before the last night of our cruise. I was wondering if I am still able to cash out at the casino cage. Edited October 14, 2021 by firefightermediclasvegas

Sign in to Princess.com, find your booking in the personalizer and then click on "Onboard Services" On that page, click on "Casino Credits". They are now limiting how much you can buy. firefightermediclasvegas Posted October 15, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted October 15, 2021 I saw that on my personalizer. In the past, I’ve been able to deposit pre-cruise into my casino account and take money out throughout the cruise. It was a nice way to not have to bring as much carry money with me to the dock. thank you, Scott

More recently cruised with Carnival were you can use your shipboard account to gamble. Can you use the medallion to fund your casino account. Also i dont see much discussion on the princess boards about casino offers or players club like over on the carnival boards. Is there a point/reward system? Are there casino offers through princess? Yes, you can gamble in the casino and charge purchase of casino chips, or slot play, or poker table play to your cabin account. They do have limits however as to how much you can run up IIRC. I cannot tell you about casino offers as I have never had one. But they definitely exist and several CC members have posted about them. Seems there are reduced special rates on cruises, sometimes even a free cabin, and also credits to gamble in the casino. But I believe you have to be a player first and demonstrate casino usage. They will track your gambling if you ask pit boss and the slots track you as well.

STREETKING Posted October 16, 2021 #10 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Does anyone have any idea what the reasoning is behind this? I used to purchase casino credits $100-$200 at a time, as I had the extra money. Now as I understand it you are limited to a one time purchase not to exceed $1000, is this correct? I doubt it is a one-time purchase. But there is a total limit. It means up to $2,000 for the typical couple sailing together.
firefightermediclasvegas Posted October 21, 2021 Author #12 Share Posted October 21, 2021 If I put money in my casino account to gamble, do you think there will be any problems pulling money out before we stop at a port for a little spending money?

Had a card in my room. Took it to the cashier and they gave me all of the cash at one time, so I doubt there would be a problem.
Rare roxievegas Posted October 21, 2021 #15 Share Posted October 21, 2021 I don't see the reason behind purchasing casino credit ahead of the cruise. We charge any amount that we want to gamble to our cabin - when you create your account with your medallion, it will put the amount to your cabin. Each time you go to the casino, you can have funds transferred to your account for gambling and then the next day you redo that, unless you won the day before and you still have money on your account. We get casino offers all the time. We go to the casino, and because you use your medallion it keeps track for each individual. The night before the end of the cruise, you (pre covid info) would get a letter from the casino - thanking you for depositing all your monies with them - they will offer you - depending on how much you donated, a discount for cabins on future cruises - 35% inside cabin, 30% oceanview, 25% off balcony, etc. You will also be given "casino credit" for that cruise. We currently have 6 cruises booked under the casino offers. 2 in December, 1 in April and 2 in September. After our cruises in December whatever offer we get, we will probably book a summer cruises (the offers need to be booked and taken within a certain time frame) example of offer: free inside cabin, plus casino credit - you can pay to upgrade to a oceanview or balcony, The casino credit changes with each offer We have been offered free balcony cabins, princess plus package and casino credit ranging from $100 to $500. You also earn points for each $1 bet and then change it to free play. Same as the casinos in Las Vegas. If you win a jackpot, you have the option of taking the cash, or putting it back on your account so that it goes to your cabin charges

I had 10k approved and available prior to sailing, upon arrival I meeting with the casino manager and she gave me my card. I'm curious if it will be different with the medallion. Rare jwattle Posted October 21, 2021 #17 Share Posted October 21, 2021 They appear to have taken a new attitude on using the casino as a place to be your ATM or withdraw your non-refundable OBC; @Ombud posted about this from their Majestic cruise on the slot pull.

Papa Yoda Posted October 21, 2021 #19 Share Posted October 21, 2021 If they don't let you take partial amounts of your casino acct before the last night, then go to card table, get cash on your Casino acct. via Medallion. Play a bit, take chips to cage - they have to change chips for cash at any time.
