Rare aubreyc1988 Posted October 19, 2021 #26 Share Posted October 19, 2021 Mozz Sticks...idk why these were in a green basket, maybe because we ordered so many this time, but they used to come in that adorable mini fry basket, the chicken tenders were decent drunk food as well...as you can see, I have a refined palette. 2

That is first I've seen that. They usually dole out 3-4 sticks in the metal small basket. Major score there.

Heytootsktz Posted October 19, 2021 #33 Share Posted October 19, 2021 I miss the Mexican Restaurant that used to be above the atrium on the Gem. Did they REALLY need all that space for O’Sheehans??????

Cruising Lynne Posted October 19, 2021 #35 Share Posted October 19, 2021 I am pretty sure that on some ships half the area above the atrium was Blue Lagoon and half was Moderno.

Quick, fast, simple. And I remember having to walk through the Mexican restaurant to get to our aft room, it was kind of a weird feeling to go strolling through the tables. I miss these as well. We had them on our first cruise and then they were gone. The weird thing is that they still have mozzarella sticks on board -- we've gotten them at meet & greets. But I can't figure out where I can actually get them when I want them.

I haven't been on the Gem but on the Jade I think that the mexican restaurant (Salsa's?) was located next to Blue Lagoon. They had amazing Sizzling Fajitas!

They were gigantic (which is not really a good thing in mozz sticks, but these were OK), and $4.

Our very first cruise was on the NCL Star in 2001 in Hawaii. I honestly believe it was the (always warm and fresh out of the oven) chocolate chip cookies in the Blue Lagoon that made cruiseaholics out of us. No lie!

I ordered the ribs there once and they were delicious. Believe it or not but I was asked if I wanted another rack and got another one for no charge. Oh, btw, the cover charge was $10 in 2009. Those were the days!!!!!

Rare cruising sister Posted October 19, 2021 #48 Share Posted October 19, 2021 My first Norwegian cruise was 2 weeks on the Jewel. They had a crepe station in back of the buffet. I had crepes every day for 2 weeks.
Rare SpainAlien Posted October 20, 2021 #49 Share Posted October 20, 2021 We just got back from the Epic and there was no salmon on any menu and the cheese plate for dessert had gone from MDR. I did manage to get a cheese plate one day by asking for it but other times I asked the servers said no.
