We booked this immediately when getting on board. The cost is $115 per person and includes a wine paring. This is a wonderful experience if you can ever attend. The head chef talks about the dishes he creates solely for this dinner. Only 12 people are in attendance and we all are waited on hand and foot. It is an amazing opportunity and worth every penny. Especially after Harmony last night. We were also given a nice hardback cookbook. Here are some pictures I took.....I'm sure if I wasn't so tired, I'd give you a great description of the items, but you can tell by the pictures the items were delicious. The dessert was served in a Chocolate shoe.....so very creative. Anyway pictures speak more than me rambling.....enjoy
Corollanc Posted October 21, 2021 #102 Share Posted October 21, 2021 As you can see from above, I don’t know what I am doing🤪. Anyway, we had two different Chef’s tables and the food is superb but both times very similar. This meal seems very different and looks fabulous! One question…do they still take you back in the kitchen? I loved that!

On one of ours chef's dinner's the kitchen part (at the beginning) actually was the best one: we had special appetizers in a designated area of the kitchen with champagne and unlimited black caviar (what else is needed for a Russian like I). Before we went to the dinner table about 30 minutes later, all 12 cruisers already felt like friends, everyone had a good time, and the rest of dinner even didn't matter anymore (in a good sense).

I wasn't harassed into buying something which I was grateful. Here's a few pics of the spa area. Note to self: Never change in front of the window when they are cleaning windows.....oops Weird Observation The Majestic was meant to be cruising around Asia and there is a beautiful Asian motif though out the ship. What I finally figured out today was they designed a lot of things to fit shorter people. I'm 5'11" and I didn't really notice it until I started looking around. The first thing I noticed was the shower head in the spa. Granted, it has a wand but there is no ability to adjust the height and if you are washing your hair, it's a bit more difficult. The second thing was the chairs in many of the public venues. The Game Room and the Crown Grill Bar area has short chairs. It in no way detracts from anything (unless your super tall) but I just found it funny. Laundry Facilities We are on the Aloha Deck (deck 12) and their is a laundry room on our floor. They have a token machine but there were 2 bowls filled with tokens to be used by guests. I don't know if this the norm? There is soaps in the dispenser that takes the tokens. I didn't do any laundry but I took a couple of pics of it for anyone that's interested. Last month we also had free laundry and soap. They had 2 bowels with tokens.
Rare QuilterGirl Posted October 21, 2021 #107 Share Posted October 21, 2021 Last month on the Majestic (Alaska cruise) I was doing a little ironing, and a crew person came into the laundry room to tidy up etc. I asked why there were free tokens (expecting a reply such as "the Guest Services desk got tired of folks always coming down to buy some because the token-selling machine is always broken/empty"). He said it was because this ship wasn't set up to use medallions in the laundry rooms (yet). At least, that was his best guess. Not complaining!!! One of the bowls with tokens was for the product-dispensing machines, and the other was for the washers and dryers - the tokens are different sizes.

I heard it in Russian language; so, the English spelling would be "meshigenen kopf" (from my hearing).

dskenn Posted October 23, 2021 #114 Share Posted October 23, 2021 I may be too late to ask this question. I am wondering if anyone purchased the Enclave suite package. Do you have to make an appointment to visit or can you go like pre covid anytime it is open.

I'm guessing no because of covid. We have done the CD several times, although never the "Lumiere" one on a Royal class ship. I'm hoping we get in.... Thank you for your review of Harmony, we have a reservation there and now I'm having second thoughts. I'm going to continue on to view and read all the rest of your pics and reviews and then I'm off to print our luggage tags as we board the Majestic a week from today, hopefully lol, taking the covid test is a little stressful to say the least.. hahaha Cheers & thank you again for all your great info! Noreen We loved Harmony. We were disappointed when they Americanized the menu a bit, but we loved it. We actually went back several times. Service was excellent on one night the waiter brought us out an extra starter to share. Duck salad was good but I loved the salt and pepper chicken with the sweet and sour sauce on the side. You are allowed to share so DH got the chow me in and I the fried rice then we each got different mains and shared. They plate the first and then leave the food on the table to help yourself family style. You can adjust the spiciness on some items like Mongolian beef. We had that the sweet sour pork, Kung Pow chicken and the lemon chicken on our multiple times. DH loved the mango sago dessert and I loved the green tea cheesecake very mild cause sometimes traditional cheesecake can be a it much for me…this was smooth and soooo yummy! She told me he rubbed the bottle all over her body before doing so. Argh.....where have people been the past couple of years? Have people not learned anything? DH was in the Navy...I ran in to tell him this story and he said, "oh yeah, it's a tradition". I wanted to know, just the teiquila squirt or the rubbing or both? He said, "both". Gaak!! On our first night we had a gentleman believe his name was Maxim he asked if we had been before we said no. He gave us the recommendations of top items and said which 2 were considered spicy and that we could go up or down on the spicy scale. 2nd time we went new waiter he said same info on 3rd time this waiter didn't mention the spicy. Last month we had the veal and it was not good and the lobster chewy. I mentioned it to Neville, and he said it was the chef decision.
