Crown and Anchor points

Recommended Posts

interior, oceanview & balcony = 1 point per night if double occupancy.  Double that to 2 during the promotion.

junior suite and up = 2 points per night if double occupancy.  Double that to 3 during the promotion.

Solo points are higher, but I don't think that you are asking about them.  🙂

The double points promotion is double what you would have normally gotten for a cruise.

For interior, ocean view and balconies (lower than Jr. Suite) you would have received 1 point per night on the cruise.  For the promotion, you receive 2 points per night on the cruise.  We got back from a 7-night on Allure a week ago (Oct 31) and this morning, I got 14 points (we were in an ocean-view balcony).

To the OP's original question, there was no difference in points between interior, ocean view, and non-suite balconies before the promotion - all of them received 1 point per night.  During the promotion, there is still no difference, you just double your points for the cruise.

No.

It's only if in a junior suite or higher that one gets double point on RC.

Q

How many Cruise Points will I earn?

A

Just double the number of points you would normally get! Below is a chart to help you calculate how many points you will receive.

Standard Cruise Points Double Cruise Points Total Number of Cruise Points Awarded
Cruise  1 point per night 1 additional point per night 2 points per night
Single Cruiser  2 point per night 2 additional point per night 4 points per night
Suite 2 point per night 2 additional point per night 4 points per night
Single Cruiser & Suite 3 point per night 3 additional point per night 6 points per night

I don't believe you're correct, it is for any cabin and any level of C&A.

I worded my response badly.

It should have been It's only if in a junior suite or higher that one gets extra normal points per night on RC cruises if one isn't solo in a normally double occupant cabin.

Actually it doubles to four/night. A 7 night for two people in a suite gets 28 points.

Oh my, that was truly a typo.  FWIW, I had an infant in my arms and was typing with one finger while trying to keep her from "contributing".  😉

How is 2 doubled to 3????? 😄

1 point per night for any cabin.

Plus 1 point per night if in any suite

Plus 1 point per night in any  double occupancy cabin when solo

For the promotion, take what ever you would have earned normally and double that.

So two people in a none suite would normally get 1 point per night, that doubles to 2.

Two people in a suite, would normally be 2 points per night, it doubles to 4.

Solo in a suite, would normally be 3 points per night, it doubles to 6.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'm asking anyway. If it's a "free" cruise do you even get single points?

Most folks who get the casino comped cruises report that they got points. I think the free cruise that comes with reaching P also gets points.

Thanks, yes I have 2 cruises coming up from Casino Royale. Just curious because it would be nice to get double points (even single points) to get me closer to D+

Piggybacking on this one.

?

If a booked cruise is eligible for the double C&A points and  a  Royal-UP bid is successful would that affect the double points offer? Just thinking about different dates between transactions and not so much about type of cabins involved.

I am not doubting you but I don't really understand that. You paid extra for the upgrade so why is it not based on the cabin you sail in? It isn't like the old days when you got an upgrade for free.

We got a free upgrade from OV to 2BR GS in August 2017 and did not get the extra points for suite.
