So if I understand it correctly,  to get the $250 CruiseNext benefit, you still need to purchase the CruiseNext certificate (by paying $250) BEFORE starting the booking process, so that you can use it to pay for $500 of your cruise, correct.  It's not automatically built into the booking process.

Perhaps I'm the only one, but I have a hard time figuring out if I would save money or not. I'm using my FCC with my 25% off discount from the first cancellation and the 10% off from the second cancellation and then get my current rate. When my PCC was figuring this all out I was somewhat lost - my husband had different numbers than I did on the FCC for some reason so we have 2 different final prices. I did follow along and figured out what he was doing, but this is a vacation and I really don't want to think that hard for a few dollars. LOL Think that NCL figures most of us are just going to keep what we have rather then mess with it. I have sent notes to my PCC twice to check on things. This first time added the additional latitude points and he did readjust price by about $60 (on his own). The second time I noticed that the Club Balcony suites were listed as the same price as the balconies, but turns out that both the regular and the Club were more expensive than the rate I had paid.

Using fcc and the % discounts does make it hard to figure since they don't itemize how they've applied the bonuses on your invoice.  I created a mock booking without any discounts or fcc first so I know my base cost for comparison, then booked with discounts.  Now I can just look to see if the current cost is less than my original base cost and work from there.  So far, only price increases on my booked cruises.

no change to the price quoted for an August 2022 cruise on Sunday and the Greatest Ever Deal starting today... nor has the price changed for my December 2021 cruise... thinking I might give PCC a call just to see if he has anything else or let it expire and see if I can get a better deal onboard...

Good news on our bookings earlier made with just a FutureCruiseCertificate (final payment isn't due yet ... 60 days out from embarkation, next January) - our net price didn't go up.  No savings or change, and didn't go down at all - no extra freebies for us.  That "Extra $250" is for new cruisers, virgin to NCL that has never purchased (at a discount ... or transferred from /gifted by someone else) FCC to be used or applied - those T&C are less restrictive and good for 4 years whereas the new ones are 3 years with fewer favorable terms ... Blah !!!

The only thing that is down this morning, cruiseline stock prices; especially NCLH diving lower.  Greatest Deal Ever - yeah, if you play the options game & short the stock, maybe ...

NCL's finest tradition with the best advertising deception scheme ever, continues.  Next Preview ... clock countdown, showing just a little over 40 hours remaining but somewhere in the details, mentioned it is good thru December 9, 2022 - presumably with the next "greatest" holiday gifts - a free bottle of extra sparkling bubbles tossed in.  One can hope and dream, busted here.

On a mock re-pricing, this little "disclosure" in the fine prints for the "Pricing Details" said it all -

Pricing Details

70% off second guest reflected as 35% of guests 1 & 2

wow! what a surprise that there is no price difference. ive been watching these super sale ncl adds since las t nov, 30% off, 35% off, 70% off. the prices really dont change.

i used a cruise consultant for about 5 years, and then i called casinos at sea for a question.  they saved me a whole lot more money then the cruise consultant, and even told me i had a free cruise i didnt even know about

Turns out (no surprise!) that the "FREE EXTRA GUESTS" are only for selected sailings.  How does one determine which are eligible, other than... trying to book everything in sight until you hit one that does have this perk?

Same goes for "free airfare".  You can filter for what you want.  Click "More Filters" and choose the filters you want.

My mistake.  I meant to say CruiseFirst and not CruiseNext.

So in order to get this "Free $250" portion of the current promotion, you need to first purchase the $250 CruiseFirst certificate, which will be worth $500 toward your cruise.  Then use it on the cruise you want to immediately book.   Hence you get a free $250 toward the cruise.  Right?

I THINK they are NOT saying "book your cruise at these prices and we will give you a CruiseFirst certificate in your account for your NEXT cruise".  Right?

Bingo - bolded & fixed it for you and others trying to make sense - slick marketing by NCL but almost fit my personal definition on the art of deception, that's IMHO of course ... no need to debate, respond or say anything about it.

The devil is in reading the ***** fine details, especially with CruiseFirst ... as it has more restricted terms, can be applied for a cruise 120+ days out and the validity period is 3 years, not 4 years like the classic / original CruiseNext or Future Cruise Certficate that're offered/sold onboard.  No way to use the DoubleUp offer as stated now ... and, Not applicable towards canceled / rebooked reservations. If a guest with an existing reservation cancels and rebooks the same ship and sail date with a CruiseFirst certificate, the additional value of the CruiseFirst certificate will be removed.

***** https://www.ncl.com/cruisefirst-program

This CruiseFirst scheme might be useful or good for someone new to cruising and booking a new reservation (6 nights or longer) with NCL for sailing next March & beyond (120+ days out) ... otherwise, no added value for many of us.

I booked sometime around 4th of July when they had the $250 for $500 value promo and purchased and applied to that booking in the same phone call with my PCC. Guess they figured out that people were getting an additional $250 off the cruise they were booking and decided to "fix" that. This is advantageous to NCL, gets people to buy-in to a future cruise.

You can still do that if the cruise is at least 120+ days in the future.

We have one booked for Dec 2022. The price dropped $125. Not sure I want to mess with it though. I booked when they were offering 2 extra (3 total) Latitude points  per night. I don't want to give those extra points away for $125.
