Hello everyone good morning. My consecutive cruiser check-in is now complete.

 

We met in the Royal Theater on Deck 5 and turned in our old SeaPass cards.

At about 8:45 we were given our new cards. Then 10 minutes later we walked up to the immigration reps and presented our passport and new SeaPass card.

They had a check-in station set up right in the Royal Theater. The whole process was done by 9:00 a.m. passenger started boarding around 11:15 a.m.

 

That was easy. . .Let the fun begin.

We received our consecutive cruiser lunch card .

 

 

 

 

 

We were sent to Guest Services for our Transit Card.

 

 

 

We received the new White Vaccination Band (purple was last week)

 

 

 

There are no passengers on board now

 

 

It feels weird not having passengers onboard

 

 

 

New York looks much better this week without the cloudy skies

 

 

 

Some crew are signing off their contract

Can you make reservations for northstar and ripcord prior to boarding? I don't see any option to do so on the app. I am sailing next week, Dec 12. 

 

If it cannot be done on the app, where on the ship do you go to make reservations for these 2 activities? 

 

Also, if other people in your party do not want to try the ripcord, can you use their free minute for yourself given their permission?

Can you get your old seapass card back?  I like to keep them.  I do remember on Anthem in 2019 having to push to get it back.

Yes, just get it back from Guest Services. They will be held there.

When open, you can go to the iFly desk to reserve Ripcord rides.

Glad to hear B2B procedure has improved.  It was quite the mess on 11/14.  About 150 passengers and we had to go back to the terminal and repeat the whole boarding process like the prior week.  Took a long time.  But I was giving them a pass since it was their first B2B since returning from Southampton.  Katherine

Hello everyone and good afternoon. Welcome to DAY 1 of Anthem of the Seas (BTB)

 

Yes, you read that right. . . This is the First Day of Week 2 for my B2B on Anthem of the Seas.

The day started out very nice. When everyone does a B2B. . .EVERYONE has to leave the ship. Almost everyone. . .Not this time. We never stepped foot off of the ship. This almost never happens. At least not in the United States.

 

The passenger count for this sailing is 2971. . .That's if all passengers are here at sail away. I heard a few from last week couldn't make it because of testing. This week, we will be sailing the same ports as last week. Just on different days. The forecast for Dec 7-8-9 should be better than last week with warmer temps and sunny skies.

Sail away is scheduled for 5PM. . . Last week, we were about 45m late, but no worries. We are going somewhere much warmer than Bayonne , NJ.

as informative and exciting as always.  Thank you for taking

your time to do so.

We will be going on Symphony Of The Seas for a 

New Years cruise in a few weeks.  We are Diamond Plus member,

but this will be our first time back to cruising since COVID hit.

My question for you is, how are the shows being booked now,

before we it was done online pre-cruise, but I know things have 

 changed now.  Also are the theaters full capacity or spaced out?

Thank you for the nice comments. . . All shows must be booked while on board. There will be a lot of help once on board if you need it. 

 

Theater seating is arranged sparingly. There is a lot of social distancing in all venues which require seating.

Is the app the only resource for booking shows once onboard or do they have locations set up to book/ reserve in person like they did premcovid?

 

wondering what the rational is to not want to allow precruise booking.

I just got off from the cruise on Anthem last week. I neglected to look at Cruise Critic and had no idea this thread was ongoing.

 

There are times listed for the box office in the cruise compass, however you actually call on the phone instead of go to a physical location.

 

Although, it was very easy to reserve items in the royal app. It has come a long way.

I am seeing mixed info on other threads regarding if the ship is offering last day COVID testing for those that need it to return to their home country (Canada in my case). I thought I would ask here since I sail on the 12th. Anyone on the last couple sailings on Anthem that can shed some light if the testing is still being offered. Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 2 of "LIVE" from Anthem of the Seas B2B.

 

Yesterday was a very happy day, as I watched hundreds of passengers boarding this beautiful ship, Anthem of the Seas. Many are experiencing this ship for the first time.

It was very exciting for these new passengers, and to watch the oohs and aahs.

Not too much beats the excitement of boarding a ship for the first time. . .

 

I had a delightful dinner last night at Jamie's Italian on the VIA on Deck 5. I enjoyed Lasagna, and was delicious. It was nice to have a tasty lasagna without a ton of cheese. Thanks MedicKen for the invite.

 

We are sailing at about 20 kts (heading 192°).  
 

It's a little too early, but it seems that we should be having a sunny day. The temps should climb to the mid 50s. It should get warmer every hour while we're heading south to Florida.
