Do you know if texting to other passengers is free if you already have the voom package?

Or do you have to buy the $1.99/day also?

I have Voom and text all day. No worries. No extra charges.

With an Android the only way will be for you and everyone else you want to text to purchase the chat feature on the app, which is $1.99/day per person.

Guests can always leave messages in the Morning Show Dropbox and the CD will read them on the show.

What beach area of CocoKay is less crowded and quiet?

That seems to vary with the customers and how many ships are in port. There will likely be some empty spots away from crowds around the pool and South Beach.

Also-  where is the indoor pool in relation to the solarium? They look to be in the same place but the solarium is for (V) and indoor poor is for (E).

The main outdoor pool is midship. Forward of that area is the indoor pool. Just forward of the indoor pool is the solarium.

I have an I phone and husband has android, we bought the $1.99 texting on the oasis in October, didn’t work between the two phone, made a few trips to the Voom desk , then it worked once and stopped. On a side note I was receiving texts from home in airplane mode, weird.

Hello everyone and good evening. . . Today was a very relaxing day at sea. I went to the Port/Shopping talk in the Royal Theater to see what was happening. They handed out raffle tickets to all passengers (30 ish)
They had the first drawing, and I won. Woohoo. . .I won a Gift Bag from Effy. It was 8 different pieces. That was nice.

I stopped into Casino Royale for a bit, and that worked out well. It's too early to tell if Casino Royale will be "Radio friendly". I then went Deck 17 and had a 2 hr workout in the Vitality Spa before I woke up from that dream.

My visit to La Patisserie wasn't as good. I think I need to order a different type of Coffee beverage Next time.

I was able to watch news for a bit before I got ready for dinner.  The sun came out later in the afternoon. The temperatures did get above 60 though, and that was very nice
Tomorrow we arrive at Port Canaveral around 2:00 p.m.

Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in.

Thats more than enough for me. Thanks for info and enjoy your postings. Very informative.

Am curious, what kind of capacity has there been? My son took a cruise recently said it was empty in comparison to any other cruise before pandemic.  We are going week of February 20 believe it’s school vaca.

Are they taking reservations for WWRY and Spectra on your sailing.  I know both were shut down for the last 2 cruises.  ALso wanted to know if Solarium Bistro is open for breakfast?

Thanks in advance...

We were on Anthem the week before (Thanksgiving week), and we saw both WWRY and Spectra.

I thought the entertainment was as expected (comedian, juggler, violinist, Beatles Celebration, and Frankie and the Dreamers -- no Royal cast production shows).  Service was very good.  About 2600 pax; lots of kids (I heard 800!)

Solarium buffet questions:

1- where is it? On deck 14?

2- Is it open for lunch of embarkation day?

3- Do they allow kids 12+ for lunch?

Is it the best place to eat lunch on day #1 or do you recommend somewhere else?

Thanks

Windjammer Marketplace is a nice place or Cafe two70.

Passenger count for this cruise is 2971. That works out to about 62% capacity.

Thanks for all the extremely informative and very helpful information.  We and the family are on the Dec. 24 Xmas cruise.  Is it possible to determine the anticipated total of booked passengers and of that total how many are children?

By the wa, RCL has changed the testing rule for un-vacinnated ages 2-11 starting Dec. 11. PCR before and rapid antigen at check in.

You could try calling the crown and anchor number and see if they know.

I'm booked for b2b beginning jan 9th and heard 3900 booked and I think total capacity is 4180.

How is formal night?  Are most people dressed up for the evening?

It's no longer formal night, it's dress your best or something like that. Just wear what you like. You'll see a range from shorts and t shirts to tuxes.

On the app when I pull up the menus in the mdr for our 10 nt December 30th cruise, for nt 9 it shows venue closed!  I doubt that.  Not going to worry.  Figure they'll still feed me.  Just Royal IT.

I have found that the menus in the app tend to reflect the current sailing of the ship in question rather than sailings farther ahead. For example, I have a 12-night sailing on Anthem out of the UK next summer and on those sailings there is always a daily pie and curry option. Those are both missing at the moment as well as the venue being closed on the later days, like yours.
