LIVE Harmony OTS- Dec 5-12th Ask me any question?

Recommended Posts

Different ships have different stuff:

Our sailing got a blue plastic band on the Anthem. The next got a purple and then white.

Plenty of paper straws on the Anthem if you ask for one. Bars always had them. But the guy at cafe promenade looked at me like I was asking for contraband.😁

Shows at a glance sheet for the whole week was in the cabin with the first day's planner (hence my question about it)

We will be on the Harmony in January and looking forward to it and appreciate reading every one's expereinces.

Who is the Hotel Director (F and B or what ever the position is now called) on the Harmony?
When is Captain Johnny returning back on board?

This has not been my experience. My frozen drinks and even the gin fizz I’m currently drinking have all been served with straws. And my coffee came with a stirrer in the windjammer.

the paper straw they stuck in my frappuccino coffee at the Promenade Cafe disintegrated right away. It was a disaster. I had to stir in a packet of sweetener and that was a challenge to say the least.

Mario is the concierge host in diamond lounge.  Very nice guy.  He just seems overwhelmed.

550 D+,  I think a thousand Ds (?) with just one concierge in the DL.

Not surprising it would be a zoo in there.  The DL is tiny down there.   Last week we wandered in at "magic hour" after first seating dinner, finding plenty of seats.   Though we did not stay.

This week has twice as many pax as last week.   Not even attempting to go in the DL this week.  😮

NO STRAWS on RCL anymore. If you order mixed drinks cocktails or even soda you will not get a straw. If fact you can’t find them anywhere not even a stirrer. So if you want them plan to bring your own. I did find a waiter in the casino who happened to discreetly give me a paper straw but no where else.  So plan accordingly.

There are straws in the SL.   Pile of them on the back counter at the bar...but I don't see them using them.

Are they giving out bottles of water in the DL or do they ding your voucher. Why do you think the DL is so overcrowded, are the appetizers that great.

Total of Ds and D+ is over 1500.  😮   DL in the bilge on deck four...is tiny...tiny.

oh, I wish we had Fine Line aqua show! We had Big Daddy's Getaway, and while it was entertaining, there were few water acts.

Fine line came back last week for one show and is the current show for Aqua Theater this week on Harmony.   Fantastic show...my favorite!!   Saw it first night this week.

With the voucher system, there's really no reason to sit in a crowded DL. We enjoyed our happy hour drinks at the Schooner Bar or Rising Tide when we sailed last week. We loved being able to listen to the music on the Promenade while having our drinks.

Are you able to have a hole punched in your sea pass card? I have a lanyard but didn't know if needed to get the kind that has a plastic holder for my sea pass card!

They told use NOT to punch a hole in them, only use a plastic holder. But we also brought our WOW bands from a previous cruise, so we just activated those. If you have some, bring those!😁

Welcome to CC.

The RFID cards can be punched but only in certain spots. You can hold the light of a phone right up to the card to "look through it" (kinda like an xray) to see where the antenna and chip are (and where not to punch).

I found a six pack of metal straws with cleaner and carrying case at Costco for I believe $7.95 that I will be bringing with us this Sunday

2 questions.. We are on HOTS in early March, in a junior suite.

1. Can you let us know if Luggage Valet has returned to Port Canaveral?

2. Have they replaced the hot pots in the Junior Suites with the pod coffee makers? If so, are the old hot pots even available? We bring our own coffee and use the hot pots to boil the water.

Thanks!

We were on for 2 weeks, ending 12/5, straws were available, you just needed to ask.

There are luggage porters at the drop off area in the parking garage.  But I did not see any “valet” service.  There is no valet parking.  The ship side parking garage was full by the time we got there at 1:45pm. We have to park in the lot across the street with shuttle service which was $136 for the week.  JR suites have a Lavazzo coffe/espresso machine with pod system.  Our room attendant happily replenished a handful of pods daily.  Did not have any boiling water unless you run it thru without using a pod.

I believe Luggage Valet is a program in which the cruise line delivers your luggage directly to the airport for you at the end of the cruise.
