Strict masking policy extended to Jan 31

Just got the following email for an upcoming Jan. cruise:

 

Updated mask protocols for departures through January 31, 2022 With the recent uptick of COVID-19 in the world and added Omicron variant concerns, we feel it prudent to temporarily tighten our onboard health protocols to require masks indoors at all times, unless actively eating or drinking. This new update also applies to vaccinated areas and venues. Lastly, in alignment with the updated mask policy, smoking will also not be permitted in the casino for all cruises departing on or before January 31, 2022. We're sorry for any disappointment that this may cause, but hope you understand that health and safety come first. Despite the new requirement, we know you will still have a great time onboard. Looks like they are extending this two weeks at a time. So in two weeks it will be extended to Feb. 14. 😄

Be prepared to be dealing with policy updates and ever changing protocols for a good while. IHU Covid is the latest variant discovered in France and will be effecting us all soon.

I sail Monday and got my email around 4:40pm today. I am okay with this. We have to have patience and fortitude to sail during these times. Since I am sailing solo, it will be easy.

Curious.  Did you ever watch the news broadcast from the person on here that had been in quarantine that was suppose to air at 10pm that night ????
I tried to find it.  But nothing
