Back-to-Back 21 night cruise

I'm booked on a 21 night cruise on the Regal Princess and I noted on my invoice that it was shown as a 7 -7-7 cruise.  Although it travels to difference ports for 21 nights, people can board and debark every 7 nights.

Will I have to get off the ship each time and re-board?

Will the menu be repeated every 7 nights?

How many formal nights will there be?

I hold Carnival shares.  Will I receive $250 as I have booked a cruise 14 night plus or $100 for each portion of the cruise?

Do I have to attend 3 emergency drills?

Thinking of bookiing the sanctuary(?) for a few days.  I like to be mainly in the shade but my daughter likes the sun.  Is there a bed anyone would recommend?

If not in the sanctuary, is there a quiet place on the ship (outdoors) to read?

Does the Regal Princess show films in the theatre?  For movies under the stars I normally find it quite noisy with people chatting as they walk pass etc., where would you recommend watching a film on the big screen?

I don't normally go to the shows but on a 21 night cruise I think I will need to have a bit of variety, which of the shows would you recommend going to?

Is it mandatory to wear masks in the casino?

Sorry for all the questions, so looking forward to cruising again.

I have done many B2B's in fact I am booked on one on the Ruby for a total of 60 days coming up soon. As far as getting off the ship between the different cruises that is up to the ports on whether you have to get off the ship or not. It is not up to the cruise line on ours we will have to get off the ship each time but our port will be San Francisco. You most likely will do a Covid test the day before each change of cruise is my understanding for now and this will be done by Princess at no extra charge and they turn the results over at the port.

The menu will most likely stay the same unless they are having problems with supply problems. The menu has never changed on any of our B2B's with the exception of a change from say the Caribbean to an Alaskan cruise or seasonal change.

Normally 7 night cruises have 2 formal nights and if you are on 3 different 7 night changes that will mean 2 each 7 night cruise.

As far as muster drills in the past if you stayed in the same room for less than 30 days you only had to do one drill at the start of your cruise however if you changed rooms you had to do one for the change of rooms. Seeing I have not done a cruise since they started cruising with the covid changes I am not sure if that is still the same however I understand you just watch the video in your room or on the app and then just check in at your muster station.

I have never had Carnival stock so I am no help at all there.

I have cruised the Regal but never used the Sanctuary and never watched the movies so no help there either. We had done B2B2B when on the Regal but they didn't show any movies I was interested in.

Will I have to get off the ship each time and re-board? If it's a US port (i.e. FLL, San Pedro), the answer is yes...unless the CBP determines that they can check your passports on the ship (rare).

Will the menu be repeated every 7 nights? Generally, yes.

I hold Carnival shares.  Will I receive $250 as I have booked a cruise 14 night plus or $100 for each portion of the cruise? You booked as a single cruise, so $250. If you'd booked 3 separate cruises you'd get $300.

Do I have to attend 3 emergency drills? No. As mentioned by @PEB, you can watch a video in your cabin, then check-in at your muster station.

Thinking of bookiing the sanctuary(?) for a few days.  I like to be mainly in the shade but my daughter likes the sun.  Is there a bed anyone would recommend? Shade moves (direction of the ship, time of day), so choose a lounger that's near the center of the Sanctuary.

Is it mandatory to wear masks in the casino? Yes. Current rules - masks indoors unless eating/drinking. No smoking anywhere indoors.

I can answer some of your questions, just from reading Live Froms + pre-covid experiences.

I think your cruises are in Europe. Correct. On turn around days at Europe ports in the past it was treated just like any other port day. Now ports may have some covid requirements. If your turn around is at a US port then you will be required to go through immigration and some covid testing. Follow directions provided in your cabin. These requirements are port/country specific, not cruise line specific.

Menu items will repeat, but each day's complete menu could be different. Formal night menus probably will repeat.

Should be 2 formals per 7 days.

You will receive the shareholder OBC according to you booking numbers.

booked as one 21 day cruise = $250

booked s one 14 day and one 7 day = $250 + $100

booked as three  7 day = 3 x $100

No more emergency drills. You watch the drill on your cabin TV and then visit the muster station to have your medallion scanned. If staying in the same cabin you will only need to do this the first time you board, Change of cabins requires you to repeat the process. The cabin TV will show the information on every turn around day. You must run the program first in order to access the rest of the TV's programming.

Production shows probably will repeat each week. Guest entertainers probably will be different.

Right now masking is required except when eating or drinking. This would include the casino as well as all other indoor locations and venues. When you sail requirements may change

There might be movies during the day in the theater. Watch the Princess Patter for details. Movies are also shown on the cabin tv. There is only one location for outdoor movies, find a lounge. I have never seen them crowded,

Visit the sanctuary on boarding day to select your lounge. since you are staying on you my be able to book your additional segments in advance. Ask.

To get correct answers and not such lengthy replies, it would be great to get a little more information, like the port you’re using, the month your sailing, etc.

 Thanks.

Looks like you have your answers

below now.

The production shows on the Regal are Bravo and Sweet Soul Music. I saw Bravo last month on the Caribbean Princess and Sweet Soul Music in August on the Majestic. Both are enjoyable if you like that sort of thing.

The guest entertainers may vary. Sometimes they stay on the same ship for several weeks, but a lot of times they're just on for one week. On my cruise last month, we had a singer (the guest soprano in Bravo) do a tribute to Judy Garland and Julie Andrews. There was a mentalist/magician. The guy from the piano bar performed an Elton John tribute in the theater one night. Another piano player/vocalist was the featured performer two nights. A comedian performed in Explorers Lounge.

Thank you for all your replies.  I booked the cruise as a 21 night cruise and selected the cabin so I should not be moved.

It is a Mediterranean cruise.  I board the ship in Barcelona, the next boarding port is Rome and then Athens.  I really don't want to be hanging around the port as I would prefer to do an excursion or explore on my own.

I might not do all six formal nights - I definitely don't want to pack for six formal nights.  If we were to eat sometimes in the buffet restaurant do they serve the same formal night meal?

We're cruising in August so it will be very hot.  I like to read in the shade but my daughter likes to sunbathe.

We booked with the all inclusive packages which includes wifi.  Are we able to stream films?

I am getting the sense that the new Rock Opera show is not on all ships - at least yet.  Hope it gets around as the year moves on.

You don't need to pack 6 different outfits for formal night. We've done many B2Bs (longest time on board was 43 days with multiple formal nights). DH wears the same thing almost every night (it's a guy thing). I wear the same "formal" outfit for every formal night.

Who's going to notice? Even the waiters are too busy to care.

Your turnaround days are like other port days.

You do not need to dress formally to go for dinner in the DR's on Formal Nights.  Princess has been trying a new name - "Dress to Impress" - on the Sky.  No word if it will spread across the fleet, but I know you are on Regal.

There is very little shade in Sanctuary on Royal Class ships like Regal.  Anyway, you can go and see the place live and select lounger location from what is available.

You can stream with the internet package if your device supports it.

One or two outfits are plenty for all the formal nights. In fact formal nights are not so formal. Normal smart casual will do. Formal nights are also popular evenings to book specialty restaurants. Smart Casual dress all the time. We have been on board the same ship for 40 straight days on b2b's. Able to pack in one single suitcase and one carry on each. No problem. There are self service laundries on board. If you send your clothing out maybe $300 for regular clothing.

Buffet does not serve the same meals as the DR. Some items may be the same.

Some areas around the main Lido pool have shade. They are soft cushion chairs and sofas under the decking. Shade also found on the Horizon Terrace, deck 16. On deck 17 above the Lido Pool there are lounges slightly aft of the pool area below. Depending on the direction of the ship the lounges can be shaded by the ship's structure. There may also be some shade on deck 17 aft by the dipping pool. Smoking is allowed in a portion of this area, I'm thinking port side. Also there is are small shaded sitting areas port and starboard at the entrances to the Retreat pool.

Agree.  When I took the clothing, I'd only wear it for the dinner and perhaps the main show if not enough time to go back to cabin and change.  So, only 2-3 hrs meant I could re-use for the second night.  Certainly one pair of dress pants was sufficient even with more nights.
