All set up for Episode 2 of Lunch under the Lifeboats

Honestly, how hard is it to accidentally knock that little Duke fella overboard? 😁 I would have thought he’d have been thrown out with the other plastic trash during the beach cleanup day, but somehow he’s continued to survive.

I don't get it.  Why is lunch under the lifeboats a special treat for WCers?  You can dine al fresco just about anywhere on the ship.

I was thinking the same thing, wondering if there was something special about a lunch here! And I think the answer is likely that it's unique — simply something different to break up the days on a 20-week cruise.

Today we have arrived at our first Seychelles stop, La Digue. We are only here for 5 hours, so that a max of about 3.5 hours ashore, and then we relocate to Praslin.

5 hours?  In 1981 my wife and I stayed on La Digue for two incredible weeks.  One of the most beautiful islands I've ever seen.  Impressive that such a big ship could land passengers there.

It was a relatively short tender ride and the island has changed a lot since we were there in 1985.

Don't you realise how important these people are? The normal rules of politeness and decency only apply to the little people. You are fortunate to breathe their air.

Maybe you could walk by with a sticky-sweet drink in you hand and accidentally dribble if over their stuff.  That would even more likely get you thrown off, but it might be worth it!

The next port is Jeddah, I suspect that not even you would like to thrown off there!

This ship has been unloading vast quantities of fish since 11am this morning, no wonder we are depleting the oceans

Reminds of what I thought when in Manta. I was gob smacked at the sheer volumes of fish coming out of each trawler.
