Yup, Wonderland would make such a nice DL. Oh, and how would many of us know that?🤔😇

I would barely remember that,  We just made Diamond before our 2016 Oasis Cruise

Upstairs...old Chef's Table location!   Or was that when it was the CL?

Loved that location!

It was the CL, and it was awesome!  Allure still has the diamond lounge in that location for now.  But it will come out when they add Wonderland ☹️

I love so much about how they have evolved and transformed Wonder beyond her sisters except for one major problem.

They have transformed Central Park in a bad way.  At least when they run movies on the pool deck.

Central Park used to be such a peaceful and relaxing space in the evenings but my worst fears have come to fruition.  When I saw the renderings of the outdoor TV screen on the pool deck at one end of Central Park this quickly became a concern for me and I am sad to report it is what I hoped it wouldn't be.

Listen for yourself.  This video is straight from the phone without any sound adjustments made.  It is exactly how it was recorded except for compressing it down to 720p so I could upload it more easily from the ship.  Video captured at 11:18pm.

Even deeper in Central Park where you can't see the screen you sure can hear it.

I've spoken to someone with a Central Park balcony and it is impactful to these cabins.  She won't ever book one again.

As far as I am concerned turn it off.  Paint over the screen.  Hang a banner on it.  Play silent TV like ChiveTV on it.  Rip it off and give it to Liberty.  Stop running movies on the pool deck.  It can't be worth appeasing the folks who want to float in a pool and watch a movie if it means destroying the ambiance of Central Park.

I book on deck 8 to be close to Central Park.  This is one change on Wonder I am not a fan of at all.

THAT is HORRIBLE!  For that reason alone I won't book on Wonder!  CP on Oasis was really nice, especially at night.  I just hope this plague doesn't spread to Harmony, Symphony, or Oasis.

Yeah, bummer.  It's like a closet in the bilge where they put the DL now.   😞

Fondly remember the old CL in that location on Oasis.  You could get a beer/wine complimentary with a small, limited...but hot lunch in there.  Small/light breakfast as well.    Maybe was the idea for SL/CK?

We would never book one of those Central Park Balcony Cabins for another reason, most times on a Caribbean Cruise it's to  freaking hot and muggy out there to sit on your balcony for any  length of time, plus no air moving  on those low decks in there either. Not for us .

Feel  like baby chick in an incubator.

I agree and I am so glad I picked a boardwalk room balcony instead of C Park.

when will the cruiselines learn that there needs to be a few places that are just QUIET.   ya know.

I bet they get a lot of complaints.

to me they could put up Closed caption.

Freedom arriving to PDCC this morning.

I love PDCC but I’ve been here many times since the restart and will be back next week.  With the spring breakers on Freedom I decided to stay on board and take more pics.

The ship still looks odd with the blue hull.

Some other guests stayed on board so some of my picture taking was difficult without capturing other guests.

It’s hard to do everything on one Oasis class cruise and it’s hard to capture it all in one Oasis class cruise.   Fortunately there is a cure for this issue.   I’m back on in April so I’ll finish the job in a few weeks.

I got pulled into a work related crisis so my day didn’t go as planned.

Later as we left CocoCay we pulled out first then Freedom came out and passed us.

No need to apologize for "anything".   Your pictures are absolutely amazing as are your reviews.  Thank you for taking time out of your day and taking us on your journey.

It didn’t seem like they were updating the departure guide as zones were being called so I left my cabin and started walking.  As a self assist I had all my luggage.  The only backups in the terminal occurred when folks who had put their luggage out last night were told they weren’t ready yet which led to the typical “Huh? What do you mean?” delays.   They held those folks upstairs and after that it was clear sailing so to speak.

One last look at the newest, largest and best cruise ship in the world!

Appreciate the thorough live review, @twangster!  It's a beautiful ship, and some of the 'improvements' look great, a few others not so much.  It's good to see the good and the not-so-good laid out as well as you did.  I appreciate all the input.  🙂

Thank you as always @twangsterfor your fantastic review of Wonder’s inaugural cruise. Pictures and 360 videos impressive as always. Thank you for what you do. I hope you got to have some fun. Seems like you were always working taking pictures. Hope you do another in April.

Cheers,

Greg Sea Dog
