TraderSam Posted May 10, 2022 #2302 Share Posted May 10, 2022 I’m just adding my thanks to this thread. It has been wonderful to read about all your adventures. Enjoy your time here🏴 and I’m sorry that the forecast isn’t great this week. I know you will both make the best of it regardless. To quote the great Billy Connolly, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes!”😉 I’m looking forward to reading the reviews of your next cruise and seeing if more folks can get your husband’s name right.😂 It’s Jim and IAIN... not LAIN. 2 1
Anita Latte Posted May 10, 2022 #2303 Share Posted May 10, 2022 It seems redundant to add my own appreciation to your thread, but I will anyway knowing all the effort it can take to continue to post and share. What makes reading about your adventures so wonderful is the obvious enjoyment you are experiencing even through challenging circumstances that could easily steal joy. It’s such an enjoyable read and has been an engaging mental and emotional break in my day for a while. I agree with PPs in the missing this part of my day. I hope you have a fabulous visit with your family and safe travels home.

Rare Jim_Iain Posted May 11, 2022 Author #2310 Share Posted May 11, 2022 (edited) You guys have me with a tear in my eye. All of you have become so much a part of my life and I feel the accolades are undeserved. We really appreciate all the kind words. Each of you were so much a part of the journey. I couldn’t resist posting some pictures and really recommend anyone visiting Glasgow to visit Pollok House Park and the Burrell Collection Museum. The grounds have beautiful gardens, paths and animals. Edited May 11, 2022 by Jim_Iain 14

Ipeeinthepools Posted May 11, 2022 #2313 Share Posted May 11, 2022 Jim, Thanks for the tip about saving the Navica results file as a non-password protected file before submitting it to the Bermuda authorities. Maybe it's obvious but I would have probably submitted it without thinking about it.

Iain's Aunt was a professional Cook and she could really make fantastic Scones, Short Bread and Puff Pastry to perfection. Barwick Cruiser Posted May 11, 2022 #2316 Share Posted May 11, 2022 So glad to pop on here this morning and see a new post from you and more beautiful pics. Rare Scottishclover Posted May 11, 2022 #2317 Share Posted May 11, 2022 Great photos. Looks like they did a great job refurbishing the Burrell Collection. You are lucky as it’s just recently opened again after a long closure. You have just provided me with an idea for my plans this weekend. Thanks! 😀 So glad you are getting a bit of sunshine in between the showers.

I was amazed at how eclectic a collection and the curators have created many interactive exhibits. I was surprised that it to free. Today we went to Culzean Castle. We have been many times before but today were just hiking on the grounds. So how we lucked out with another sunny day. Incredible walking trails and all the spring wildflowers, Rhododendrons and Tulips are in bloom. Really worth a visit

Just to give the old heart an extra workout my aunt would fry them in oil and then smear them in butter. I recently made some for my family....neither my husband nor sons were a fan. Maybe it’s a Scottish thing?
