Thanks.

This shows that the "cleaning" option is still available.

Yes it does.  So I asked my room steward about "cleaning" on several of the items I wanted to have processed at the end of my cruising.  He told me that everything was now being "laundried" and that I did not have the option to "separate" the items.

There was no reason to mistrust his statement.  I was cruising for 25 days and felt that he was always honest with me.

Look what I found unpacking. Sometimes it pays NOT to throw away everything.  Notice the red pen marks made by laundry department.

So clothes that are marked "dry clean only" ("clean" in Princess terminology and the process they had been using) are washed, destroying their usefulness?

I wonder if this is a permanent change or due to some shortage of the chemicals Princess uses in their cleaning process.

Breakfast in the main dining room was good. We found a table and waiter that we like and spoke to the host afterwards, and he told us that we could have it every morning at 7:30, just walk-in, say hello, and go straight to the table. 👍

Room service specialty coffee at 6:30am took a long time to arrive and was tepid by the time it arrived. The app showed it as being delivered within minutes, but in actuality it took half an hour.

Last night we ate in the Crown Grill. Service and food were both good. The venue was very almost empty at 8pm.

Tonight it’s Sabatini’s!

CineGraphic,   I trust you went to breakfast at zero dark thirty so that you could get an early start cataloging all of the rust spots on this "rust bucket".  😀😉

No, Pam and I plan on enjoying ourselves.

Rust stains have no effect on our vacation.

embarkation took 35 minutes. the non elite line actually moved faster. main dining room food last night was as i remember. same portion size, flavors. service was fine. showed up 20 minutes early for our private table reservation and were seated right away. game show was sparsely attended, comedian in theater was about half full, band in explorers lounge played to about a dozen guests. overall so far so good. not the train wreck i was worried about reading these boards over the past few weeks. only negative has been the absence of our requested robes.

Robes can depend on how many request them on both your cruise and the cruise before.  I have found they usually arrive the evening after embarkation, having been through the Laundry.

Captain just announced that due to water conditions, we will not depart until 5:30 or 6:00pm.

They had to add conditioner to the water?

Joking.   😜

Have a great cruise.

Thanks for doing this live from. If you remember towards the end can you please ask how many on our sailing on the 23rd?  I know you wrote full in your first post but it would be nice to get a number.

looking forward to sailing under the golden gate again. This was from my thanksgiving cruise last year.

We are there last night…everything was delicious except the pork tenderloin……dry, very dry.  But by the time I got to that entree I was stuffed anyway so it didn’t matter.. here’s some food porn from our meal!

I remember from the other thread.  I'm just being a smart aleck. 😊 I don't notice the rust either.  I'm just happy to be going on a ship.  Looking forward to getting on board Ruby next Saturday.

Ok…here we go

started with this …these little bread pillows were the absolute best thing of the entire meal….when we return for another meal here I @m going to ask for seconds

antipasto was burrito cheese and tomato and then fried zucchini and yellow squash

I had the porcini mushroom risotto which was lovely but a bit heavy and filling…I could only eat half of it

DH then had the Mediterranean seafood parcel….like a cioppino without the red sauce…it is baked and presented in parchment paper. Then they open it up right at the table. He licked the plate clean

Yes, it’s always been dry. We’re sticking with the beef cheeks.

Nice.  We sail next Saturday provided the swab is removed cleanly (oxymoron?), Canada stays on board (figuratively), and the debarkation is timely (we left after midnight on our last cruise in Feb 2020).  Green and prepping.

That's not the kind of cheese I get on my burritos. I think your spell check didn't know about Burrata cheese. 😁

Ordering drinks on the app is not off to a good start. At 6:30am Pam ordered a specialty coffee. It arrived 30 minutes later, tepid at best. Afterwards, Pam noticed that the app showed her coffee was delivered within 8 minutes of ordering in what I’m guessing was an attempt to make it look like deliveries are being made on time, at least on paper.
At 10:30am I ordered a drink and it was almost an hour before it showed up. I spoke with guest relations in hopes that this will not be the norm for the next two weeks.

My advice,  forget the app and order at the international cafe..  Our orders were always wrong so we gave up after 5 days. Glad you enjoyed your crown grill. It was 50 /50 for us but my dinner was really good that night.  Cheers
