DRINKS IN THE DIAMOND LOUNGE DURING HAPPY HOUR

That , now we only have 4 drinks through out the whole day, and nite. We used to have several drinks in the lounge before dinner, and then use the 3 on the seapass for the dining room.  It just seems like taking away the all you can, or wanted to drink in the lounge, is a downgrade, in my opinion.

I would say that you are one of the VERY few who were satisfied with the quality of the booze on the "diamond list".

I say:  Quality over quantity any day and twice on Sundays.  Flexibility of all day, all venues over restriction of one small room for a brief time - not even worth comparing.

Off topic, but did you ever see this post from earlier in the year from someone trying to find you?

Wow, that was well remembered! I'll have to pop a reply in there.... we're about but don't post on here as much as we used to.

And yes, it's always about the booze 🙂 🍷

But if you're on a Sunday turnaround B2B, you get twice the quantity too!  😄

Not so.  We still go to the lounge to meet others.  It's a more relaxed setting than sitting at a bar.

I'm not saying that there aren't exceptions to the rule, but the fact it's "more relaxed than sitting at a bar" kind of tells you that the majority have decided the lack of free drinks outweighs the desire to meet others.

It's why we go to the DL or CL also.  Plus the apps.  And, there were always others in the lounges on our HOTS and EN b2bs.  In fact, on HOTS, we couldn't find seats a couple of times.

Never thought about this.  I should have taken advantage of this on my last B2B (not a Sunday) but will on my next one.

Ain't that the truth! I much pretty much prefer hanging out in any bar onboard as opposed to 'my status is better than your status' vibe in the Diamond Lounge. Disclaimer: YMMV.

Ha!  I find that attitude more prevalent on these boards than in the Diamond Lounge.

You can get twice the quantity on the last night of any cruise as long as you stay up late enough.

Well, anonymity, whether perceived or real, may or may not be a factor in your observation. Disclaimer: YMMV.

Yeah, I agree, unfortunately.

What makes me laugh is that for years we've had so many people on these forums insist that they weren't going to the diamond/concierge/suite lounge for the unlimited drinks, it was all about the interaction with other people in the lounge, honest.

Like Minded People.😉

But yea, the draw was unlimited swill

I'll put flexibility over quality

Hmmm. Champagne Bar and Trellis Bar for examples. I can't think of more relaxing places to have conversations.

Did you mean quantity?🤔

6 is plenty. Plus I have the casino in a pinch

Majority of my drinks are after 8pm

Thought I would do more pool drinks, but it hasn't turned out that way

So you did mean flexibility over quantity. You said over quality.

Those two are fairly equal.

I never minded New Amsterdam in my Cape Codders. Plus if you recall we were getting frozen drinks in early 2020.

I will admit I have picked up some new drinks that might not have been possible in the past.

Hasn't that been up for debate?

No, but, in the morning you get cut off by around 9 AM and there are very few places to get any kind of alcohol. Realistically, you only get drinks with the afternoon vouchers.

Wow!  I feel so bad for you.  We are happy to be able to enjoy the vouchers anytime during the day that we want to. We are Diamond +, so we get 5, but we are so happy to get 5 whenever we want.
