On Summit and Need To Weigh Daily

Is there a good place to do this? Trying to avoid packing a scale.

The fitness centers usually have a scale.  Remember, though, it's your vacation--you can undo any damage pretty quickly when you get home.  Enjoy what you like in moderation  🙂

Yes, the gym should have a scale.

Remember that if you are at sea the scale won’t be accurate.  You can watch while it goes up and down 5 or 10 lbs.

Tried the ship scale in the Gym and was OK. Unless you are in Very Heavy Seas and the ship is pitching and rolling, the scale shouldn’t that off. And of course in port, no issue. And for the ship movement to be an issue I’d think you wouldn’t be up there weighing yourself!

 

Wife and I were on a diet and continued to watch what we dined on, but stayed away from checking weight….turned out we gain 1 or 2 lbs max. And it came off in a day or so. 

 

I guess the need to weigh daily is something beyond diet….I would hope. Diets strongly recommend Not tracking Every Day.

Could happen depending on the motion of the ship.  If you notice your weight moving around a bit while standing on the scale just estimate an average and you likely won't be too far off.  From day-to-day if you notice a general trend upwards (most probable event) perhaps you should cut down on the desserts or work doubly hard in the gym!

Try the receiving area on deck 2. They have to weigh all the meat and fish when it’s delivered. Very accurate.

Summit gym has a scale. I just realized our Summit suite in July did not have a scale- we used to have one in the suite.

I know you said you do not want to travel with a scale, but, we ordered a small, thin travel scale from Amazon.  It takes up very little room.  You may want to take a look.  But, yes, the ship can not be moving for a accurate weight.

I understand the medical condition to weigh daily.  Congratulations on your compliance with this important process to manage your health!  Don't let one or two days with gain alarm you, unless the gain is significant.

I did a transatlantic and the scale in the gym was all over the place for numbers. If you’re at sea, I would skip it. Go to the gym when docked but otherwise I don’t weigh in.

As mentioned, the spa should be fine if you are just weighing for curiosity, Noom, or something along those lines.
