It's mandatory to upload the app.  But alas when i clicked on the check in got a message (check in has checked out)  WHAT!

First, it is not mandatory to download the app. Many people don’t do it and they get along just fine. If you do download the app at some point you will be allowed to check in on the app. But don’t worry, you can always do everything you need to do in terminal

When is your sailing?  Check-in on the app and on-line doesn't open until 45 days before embarkation.

September 22 2022 Vancouver to Hawaii so a little concerned.  Did not have this with the 8/10/22 Baltic Sea cruise with Royal.

Is it on the Solstice?  That was one of the last ships to return to service and it replaced the Millenium on many itineraries since then things have taken longer than the sailings that didn't encounter the changes.

Have you checked to see if you can check-in on line? vs the app.

Have others on your Roll Call been able to check-in?

No its the Eclipse.  I am going to delete the app and then reopen it again to see if that works.  Been a long time since we cruised Celebrity.  I rather not do all this dockside if I can avoid it.  Its been a long wait time when we call Celebrity (airlines, Royal, not so much the hotels)

I’m on the Eclipe, the sailing prior to yours. Have had issues with the app and when I spoke to someone at Celebrity I was told that because the Eclipse hadn’t been fully revolutionized the app wasn’t working to it’s full potential yet. I was able to checkin but my purchases (speciality dining and hot glass class amongst other things) aren’t showing in my calendar on the app. I have an invoice showing proof of purchase which I’ll bring onboard just in case. I’m hoping it’ll all work fine once onboard. 🤷‍♀️🤞

I hope you have success with deleting and reinstalling the app.  If you don’t, you can also check in on the website which could help avoid some delays at the port

I'm on a different ship, Infinity, but it is also one of the older non-revolutionized ships. There is this big bold announcement on the check-in page. I'm guessing that the app requirement is spreading across the fleet.

Yes but seem to be a disconnect between getting the app and using the app!

We were to check in today, according to the app, but it did not happen for us on Apex.

Our Beyond checkin opened a day later than we expected.

I see going on a cruise post COVID ( we been on two) having a lot of moving parts and I prefer Celebrity not being one of the parts that goes off the rails.

we don't sail until next summer. will wait. now Carnival  app was great on the Mardi Gras this past January. the chat feature was awesome. hope celebrity has it too.

I assure all that you do NOT have to download the app. We never do. All can be done on line and/or at the pier. Takes very little time.
