I'm Back!  To HOT WEATHER after Alaska cooler and rainy weather.

Thank you Izena for starting the posts. Seem like those weighing in and not cruising- everyone doing pretty

good watching the weight drop--doesn't matter if a big or small loss---It's a loss!  It adds up.

I probably won't weigh this week, coming back to 100 + Drinking too much water and such and after eating a very late

dinner. Too hot before to eat. Might change mind after a few days--who knows?

I hope you all have a good weigh in--don't know who's here and who's on a cruise. Also wishing everyone a good day/week--wherever

you are.'

Belle glad your back and had a great time.   Weather has cooled to low 90s  nice the morning walks.

Stayed the same which is perfect.  Won’t report weight for a few weeks  - have surgeryMonday to remove the  vertical abdominal skin folds.  (For peace of mind  - they make me sad) .

Have to fix fence gate.  Caught Jazzper pushing the corner to shimmy under gate.  BRAT  I’ll replace 1-2 boards the attach a  latch about 6 inches from the ground to secure the edge.  The watch to see if he has alternate routes of escape 😝

No one in the house today except Izena? Wishing you an easy time on Monday. Quick healing.

Still hot here a little cooler tomorrow. I decided to weigh today and had a good surprise--

No gain for the 60 days. Now might have (a loss or a gain) in case I drank to much water or not enough

yesterday. Guess will see in the next few days when cooler. I'll take it.

I really didn't eat to much just the wrong kinds of food and drink sometimes. Did walk a lot.

Say exercise is good for us--right? Seem to help me.

Jan, I hope you are feeling good. Have you started chemo yet? If so, hope you're having an easy time

with it.

How are the rest of you doing? Fine, I hope. Hope to see you all in here soon.

No gain is incredible.  I sincerely agree exercise/walking works.  I enjoy early walks on carnival -can easily get in miles just walking the decks.  I go in 4 miles in this morning longest walk since the heat wave.

I’ve been casually working on my flower beds  .

it has been very quiet here for a few weeks.   I usually drop in  chat nonsense  just in case newbie’s drop in.

Belle - I'm really not posting - but, I do read all the posts - congrats on not gaining.

Izena - good luck with the surgery, hope that it makes you happy!  Please let us know how it goes!!!

I am still in a waiting stage - We did meet with the oncologist and they said they sent the lymph nodes off to somewhere in California and it came back that having chemo would not be a benefit and that radiation would be what was needed.  They also offered me the opportunity to be in a cancer study - but, told me I shouldn't as radiation would only be on the spot where it started and not on the nodes where it had spread (I'm not going to be part of the study).  On Monday we go and have a simulation of what radiation will be.  They had started out saying that I would have 4 weeks at 5 times per week (20 treatments) - now they are saying that I will be having 33 treatments.

I have not been weighing - but every time I go to the doctor's I get weighed - With clothes on after breakfast it says I am about 6# heavier.  Trying to eat well.  I did start meeting with my trainer yesterday.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.  Jan

Still saying staying the same. Very happy as I cruise again Sept. 27th for 12 days.

Now not to eat too much while home. (Which could happen being me) Thanks for

the congrats on not gaining.

Yes, Izena you do so good in your walking, I don't do good at home but great on the ships.

The bigger the ships the more walking!😊

I see it's been quiet in here. Where is everyone? I know you come in often Izena, thank you.

You inspire us all with your weight loss.

Jan glad you're still reading and come in once in a while. We want to hear from you. I/we care

about you.  Are you happy about having radiation? Their doing it on all places, right. The

study was only one place? Nothing is easy but radiation easier than chemo. Usually

driving there and getting ready for treatment is longer than the actual treatment. Just having

it every week is time consuming. You'll be ready for your cruise in Dec.

Bet you haven't gained that much if weighing with clothes on and after eating.

You're doing good with stress and eating. Sure, I wouldn't be doing that good.

OK everyone get your "body" in here and talk no matter how you're doing.

Everyday can be a good day, sometimes not so good but can be a day to start fresh again.

Hi all!

Belle ~ nice to have you back & amazing you didn't gain any weight after all those cruising days!!

Jan ~ nice to hear from you. Is the treatment available close to your home?

Wishing you well.

I'm down 1 lb since last week so that's good. Too bad I have to lose 16.6 more lbs to get where I should be.

Have a nice weekend & stay safe.

Jo I think a lb is great for you.  Instead of thinking 16 lbs change to 5 increments. For me smaller goals helped keep me motivated.

Jan 33 treatments sound better than 20.  During the simulation they will mark the area to be radiated with small sharpy  marks.  (I had a fine tip sharpy that I would use to reinforce  the marks that would fade from bathing.).  At this time relax and try not to bring tempting food into the house  - I can’t  ration smaller treats,  just eat until gone.

I’ve been on a cleaning binge this morning.   Getting a little worried about Jazzper next weekend . My son goes to Chicago late Thursday to Sunday.   My gut is telling me to  have  friends pick him up  Friday morning  and keep him.   He’s soooooo spoiled he will expect his usual walks.  I’m a nervous Nellie - tend to over think everything.  This surgery is only an hour and I have the same anesthesiologist who did a great job in March.

Hi guys...got a call from son to come help with baby.  He was soo sick when we got there.  Was supposed to have tubes in ears Friday.  He had gotten another virus and had developed blisters in mouth and was not drinking due to pain.  Surgery cancelled.   Finally got him rehydrated and feeling well so we returned home today.  Surgery rescheduled for Sept 26.  We leave Monday for a 10 day cruise on Carnival.  Will be back for surgery.  Did not weigh due to not being home.  Probably check it in am.  Hope everyone has a good week.  Good to have you back Belle.

Glad to see you in here Jo and Susan with Izena an Jan.

Where's Ombud? Also, our newcomer, sorry can't remember name.

Jo--Good loss! You're going down that's the main thing. You'll get where you want.

Susan--How scary So hard to see babies in pain. Glad you got him drinking. Glad could rescheduled

the surgery for ears.  Enjoy your cruise.

Jan--Hope your feeling alright. Will think of you on Monday. It will be nice to get treatments

started and get it over with.

Everyone enjoy your Sunday. Finally, I will get some work done.   The Temps went down

and the inside of house is bearable again. No AC only a fan, sit in one spot. We don't

always get this hot. At least I missed a few days of it while cruising.

Yes, Jan it was Sept. 1st during the last cruise. I was spoiled.

Room steward decorated my room with birthday stuff the 1st day of the cruise.

(Had him for 3 of my cruises)

No dancing but had a younger man flirting with me, while playing cards, good looking and rich

too but also married. Fun but harmless. Really a nice guy. Think he had too much to drink and

looking thru rose color glasses!😄

Then on my birthday the casino sent me a whole (big) birthday cake and Chocolate

covered strawberries and wine. Shared with room steward and others. In fact, I share

Elite bar set ups with my room stewards and casino hosts.  I had six!

It's nice when you get to know the crew you're cruising with. In fact, bring little gifts

to those I know that are going to be on. Take extras. They like them and I enjoy giving.

Your birthday is coming up this month too. Right?  Remember all the Sept. Birthdays?

Wonder where all the people are now? Still remember the great parties on here!🎂🍹🎵

How was your day for getting ready for treatments go? Bet your ready for them to start.

Hope everyone has had a good day so far.

Surgery went great. No pain .from incision.  I have one drain.  Had a .5 inch fatty tumor removed that developed bleeding issues. Now have Hematoma size of egg which hurts will take awhile to be absorbed and bruising to fade —- no bikini for awhile 😂🤣🤪

Belle happy birthday.  You are so thoughtful to the crew.  Kindness, respect and inclusion are priceless gifts.  I like to bring candy to share.

Izena glad everything went well. Sorry you had a bleeding issue and it hurts.

As you say it will take time to heal. Then you'll be better.

Yes, the crew are the ones who help us enjoy our cruises. they do a lot of work for us.

Nice you think of them to. They are so nice too, the extra stuff I gave them they shared

with their friends.  (Except the tips I give them, they keep)😄

Izena hope you and everyone have a nice Tuesday,

Slept well.  Easiest recovery so far.  My son said he was getting up early this morning and take Jazzper for a walk .  It’s 930 and he’s still in bed lol.  Jazzper and I walked at 8am  just a sort trip around community pool to check  for squirrels.   Eating lots to insure a good recovery.

When I cruise I get to see a lot of crew members  who tend to go unnoticed - I think I’ll get a bunch of $2 bills and had them out during morning walks.

Izena, hope you slept well again and feeling better each day. Yes, eating and resting

is good for healing.

Hope Jazzper got a walk in sometime. If not, he has to learn sometimes

"mommies" can't do everything and you can't always rely on your "brother" at times!😄

So, I actually weighed myself the other day and I am up 3.4# in a month, but that month I was down 3.4#, so I have actually stayed the same since 6/30/22 - Ha!  How's that for logic?!!

Belle, I will  "just" have radiation - I will have it 5 times per week for 7 weeks total.  I start on 9/21/22.  Went from 20 times to 33 times and now 35 times - I am just looking forward to when I can ring the bell.

Jo - I live about 15 minutes away from the cancer center (it is associated with Dana Farber).  Everyone has been amazing.

Izena - I ended up getting 3 tattoo's to show where everything should be zapped!!!!  Boy, did that hurt having the tattoo's - I wasn't expecting it to be so painful.

I have a birthday on Sunday (big "70" - don't understand how that is possible) - DH and I are going to an inn along the coast for a few days - the Inn looks like a castle and I have always wanted to stay there - for Christmas kids gave us two nights for a wonderful present - so we are going.  I'm hoping to spend some time looking at the ocean and walking around!.

Hope everyone's week has been wonderful!!  Jan

Jan Happy Birthday wishes early in case you don't come in before that.

The weekend sounds so nice--Prince and Princess spending the weekend in a castle!

Enjoy!

Glad you can just have radiation, time consuming but less side effects then chemo

Can't wait for you to ring the bell--you ring it here too. Loud and clear. Nice you don't

have to drive very far each day.

Nice you have stayed the same for a few months no matter how you figure it out.

Izena hope you're feeling better today than yesterday and each day better.

Jo, I hope you're doing good today.

Susan on her cruise.

Where's everyone else?

Happy birthday Jan.

I must have been difficult for anesthesiologist- feel like I’ve got whiplash hurts to tip head back and side to side.  I know it will ease up with time. It is nice to have my son here.  He  cooks shops and  Jazzper loves him.  Eating what I want - getting in calories to help healing.
