phoebe2m Posted October 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2022 Hi, I want to send in our CCL stock form but it is more than 90 days (about 105 days) until our cruise. I thought I had done this before but can't remember. Has anyone done this? Thanks!
thinfool Posted October 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2022 There is only a minimum time before sailing....no maximum. Others are getting credit for sailings in 2024.

phoebe2m Posted October 18, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted October 18, 2022 Thanks for your speedy responses! The form says no sooner than 90 days but I'm going to send it now.
BobandLizM Posted October 18, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2022 Good luck, I have tried at least 3 times to send in early. Up until now always returned stating ‘Please supply no earlier than 90 days’. On a positive side when I have resent a5 a letter date, they always process within about 7 days.
Brickwood Posted October 18, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) I emailed mine 2 or 3 weeks ago and received the OBC for a cruise in November as well as one in 2023 and one in 2024. Also, didn't use a form, just gave them the required information in the email. Edited October 18, 2022 by Brickwood 2
Yehootu Posted October 18, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2022 175 days out for me and I got it. Sent by USPS
Rare Musky Ike Posted October 18, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2022 Last year they or at least some at Princess started enforcing the 90 day rule. Probably as an attempt to help the backlog and response time. I had a couple denied for being too early. Now it seems they have returned to ignoring it. I just sent one in last week for next year and it was posted the next day. I understand the reasoning for the rule but if I wait, I might forget.

Partially because people needed the obc to book excursions pre cruise after Princess went to charging for excursions when they were booked. For the past few years I have been able to get the obc applied to cruises a year in the future.
paradiselivin1 Posted October 19, 2022 #11 Share Posted October 19, 2022 Never had a problem sending it in as early as 2 years in advance. Caution ~ if you re-fare make sure that your OBC stays in place. I have a cruise next August that I re-fared today and the TA had to call Princess to re-instate our OBC.

Rare curlybelle2 Posted October 19, 2022 #13 Share Posted October 19, 2022 emailed ours in a week ago for a February 2023 cruise, received it by the next afternoon. Very fast and easy.

Received confirmation showing the obc 4 hours later. They say two weeks is the minimum just to make sure it gets processed.

dreams_of_travel Posted October 19, 2022 #16 Share Posted October 19, 2022 Thanks for the replies. I just checked my booking, and it has already been applied. 🎉 They are really on top of things it would seem. I won't wait so long to send it in in the future, you never know when things will get slow again.
phoebe2m Posted October 19, 2022 Author #17 Share Posted October 19, 2022 I sent in my form and brokerage statement this morning. Rec'd an email that they would credit the OBC within 21 days due to high volumes. I assume it will be sooner but will let you know. Thanks everyone! MikeD4134 Posted October 19, 2022 #18 Share Posted October 19, 2022 The shareholder benefit has been approved for sailings up to and including July 31, 2023. They historically renew it for 1 year at their annual meeting. Since this has not occurred yet I would keep quiet about receiving the benefit for cruises after that July 2023 date.
cruisingrob21 Posted October 19, 2022 #19 Share Posted October 19, 2022 Note that if there is a sale or the price drops and you take advantage of it, sometimes it will void your shareholder credit, and you'll have to send it in again.

When that happened to me, I called Princess. The rep could see that the OBC had been applied to the original booking and was able to add it to the new booking without my having to send in proof again. I was able to do this even through the cruise was booked with a TA. 1
phoebe2m Posted October 24, 2022 Author #21 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Good news! I emailed the stock OBC request on 10/21 and it posted 10/24, one business day! Much better than the last time.

kywildcatfanone Posted October 25, 2022 #23 Share Posted October 25, 2022 I have had them accepted 200 days out, and rejected more than 90 days out. I usually wait anymore till about 60 days out.
