Reservations required in Windjammer?

The app says reservations are required in the Windjammer on Serenade of the Seas. Is that true? I can’t believe it’s even possible.

I'm pretty sure that's just an un-updated section of the app from the post-Covid re-start, at which time they were requiring reservations for the WJ.

Even last Nov we didn't have to make reservations in the WJ so I don't know how often that was actually done.  I know it was talked about at the time that the app and compasses even stated it, but no one actually needed them from what I remember.

They did TRY to get you to make Windjammer dinner reservations last year.  And actually Windjammer was closed for dinner for a short time due to Covid and staffing shortages?

 

None of it worked and RCI gave up.

No reserves are required, however, you may want to reserve if one has a large group.  On our October 9 Oasis sail form Bayonne, they were celebrating Autism at Sea and an area of the WJ was set aside for them.

No as I wasn't part of that group.  I answered--no reservations are required in the WJ.

Did three cruises on Serenade this past August, and reservations were not required.
