Black Friday sale?

What kind of sales does RCCL usually have on Black Friday?   Anything special or just the usual no deposit etc stuff?

The "deals" are detailed on the cruise line's website, and I think there are discussions about this elsewhere in the forums.  Also, check the RCCL Blog.

Yes. They give it a different name depending on the day of the week. By Monday, they'll have renamed it Cyber Monday sale. But essentially, it's all the same thing.

They should call them “sails” instead of “sales”. 
Prices may or may not change depending on the way the wind blows.

Nothing special about the "Sale," whatever terminology they want to use in front of it.  We are booked for the Harmony in January and there was no "sale" on the drink package, same pricing as before.  Anyhoo, don't let a couple of hundred dollars get in the way of a great vacation.  Bon Voyage!

Sales on excursions on my cruise are up to 30% off. One day there was a flash sale and they were all 35% off (and yes they were. I know the prices.) So depending on your ship i wouldn’t call it nothing, still worth a look.

As I commented elsewhere today, I've never seen any real fare sales from Royal. In fact 2 days ago I priced a holiday sale from a TA (one that has never lived up to its advertising) and was shocked to get a final cost of more than $800 above Royal's website pricing. Nuts. My favorite TA (also advertising "sale") has the same total price as Royal does -- same as it was a month ago when I checked. (I keep a spreadsheet for my next-cruise shopping.)

 

As @latebuyermentioned, maybe pre-cruise discounts for excursions and such, but never on the cruise fare itself.

Just got my email and checked my excursions for January - both of them were $45 at their previous 'sale' price but were now $38.  Cancelled and rebooked, saved $36.  🙂

Any sales on the cruise fare are probably just a coincidence - the "sales" are typically reserved for planner items.
