1.  Where is your favorite place to cruise (or top place on your wish list)?

2.  Name your three favorite cruise foods at sea?

3.  Do you dress less "sparkly or formal" on cruises now than in year's past?

My Answers:

1.  Copenhagen (tied with Half Moon Cay)

2.  Croissants, Jewels of the Sea Soup (Tamarind), Tiramisu

3.  Less Sparkly (I like packing lighter, but kind of miss dressing fancier most nights.)

1) Charlottetown, PEI (also tied with Half Moon Cay, such an unspoiled place)

2)  Beef Tenderloin in Tamarind, the caviar service at the Pinnacle (it is well worth the money if you like caviar), Dover Sole (deboned tableside) at Rudi's, and an honorable mention to both the lamb chops in Canaletto and the Apple and Bacon Pannenkoek at the Dutch Cafe.

3) Still trying to do sparkly, dh takes his tux and I take gowns or sparkle tops and palazzo pants.

Oooooooh . . . . I forgot about the yummy Apple and Bacon Pannenkoek!

I'm glad you still sparkle!  I do dress nice at dinner . .. but only travel with one small roll on suitcase, so I take fewer clothes now.

1: Barcelona, with Copenhagen a close second.

2: Lamb chops, either Pinnacle or Canaletto. Short rib gnocchi (Canaleto). No upcharge: pasta-toss made with double veggies, very little pasta.

3: About the same: plain black bottom, sparkly top. We pack carry-on only too.

1.  Where is your favorite place to cruise?

South Pacific

2.  Name your three favorite cruise foods at sea?

Veal & Sage Meatballs at Canaletto

Cioppino at Pinnacle

Asian style breakfast in the MDR

3.  Do you dress less "sparkly or formal" on cruises now than in year's past?

We try to look nice every night, unless we have been snorkeling all day and are too tired for anything but smart casual. We certainly dress nicer than we do at home.

1) Norway

2) Pea soup at Dutch Cafe, Dover Sole at Rudi's, and lasagna at lunch in Lido

3) I still do sparkly on "dressy nights." I don't fly, so I can take more clothes.

Betty -  That pea soup is indeed awesome!

I think I'll try that!  Yummy!

...it is so good. Rice, Salmon, Miso, Tamago .. I like my Salmon very tender, so if you do too, tell your waiter. Asian Style breakfast isnt for everyone but we love it. And the presentation is delightful. The Congee in the Lido is also very good.

We are trying Rudi's for the first time on NYE which is also our (32nd) wedding anniversary. I have reservations for the Pinnacle (part of HIA) on both legs of the B2B. Planning Canaletto as often as possible but waiting until onboard to use OBC.

First time on Pinnacle Class Ship so looking forward to Grand Dutch Cafe as well.

The Mediterranean.

The Linguine and clam sauce on Princess, the Beef Wellington on Celebrity. The Dover Sole on Holland America.

Country Club Casual. On dressy nights a sport coat for me and a dress for DW.

2. Can’t decide - as long as it’s prepared well and served at proper temp I’m a happy cruiser!

3. Dress or sparkly top and palazzo pants.  DH suit and tie

Favorite destination is Antarctica. I've been there three times, and could go again.
Favorite foods? Filet mignon in the Pinnacle, prime rib in the dining room, and short ribs in Canaletto. Yum!
I dress for dinner every night, with a pretty dress and good jewelry. On 'Gala' nights I up the ante and wear something very dressy made with chiffon or georgette, along with lots of fabulous jewelry. I like to look nice.

1.  The Med -- anywhere in the Med but Greece is probably my favorite.

2.  Prime Rib in the MDR, lamb chops in the Pinnacle, any duck dish.

3.  Not less sparkly, but I don't bring the long dresses anymore.

Thanks everyone for your informative replies!!!!

Now I have ideas for new foods to try on board,  and new lands to dream of possibly seeing one day!

Our society is so informal now, it is wonderful to have a classy place to dress up for dinner, and also for listening to live music.

Oooohhhhhh, what a fun post!!  😃

1. Favorite Place - The Mediterranean (pretty much anywhere)

2. Favorite foods - Miso glazed sea bass (Red Ginger, Oceania), Escargot (HAL, Celebrity, Oceania), Filet Mignon (Pinnacle Grill on HAL, Polo Grill on Oceania), Chateaubriand at Murano on Celebrity.  Boarding Koningsdam this Saturday 12/3, so maybe will have a new dish to add???

3. Not really sparkly, but do dress up.  I will bring a coat to use some evenings, and my wife will bring a nice dress.

Love reading the responses! 🙂
