Boarding pass shows J, but I have the POM app and will check as soon as I can on the app.

It is going to be a very busy day at the port with lots of ships. I think Riviera has the latest sailaway time at 9pm - hope that gives them time to give that engine a good smack.

Enjoy second breakfast and have a great sail away.

Just for completeness sakes. It’s thundering here.

Also learned that the huge flocks of brown birds we saw yesterday around the skyscrapers are turkey vultures who migrate to Downtown Miami in the winter to enjoy the warmer temps…proper snowbirds!

Intercontinental is a lovely hotel.

Lots of fellow O passengers here last night.

We leave at 9 tonight, guessing a few who are flying today may need that extra time. Good luck if you are travelling here today.

Anyone travelling east of the Mississippi River with be challenged to arrive today, I'm getting blowing snow and 5 degree F (-15 C) 800 miles north of Miami.

Aaand we are onboard. Seen a couple of members of staff who recognised us and now enjoying some coffee in Baristas.

The pizza cooking machine is where the smoothie/ice cream bar was in Waves and they are now in the new spot facing the pool.

embarkation was smooth. Lovely to be back.

embarkation was smooth

- 40 minutes from luggage drop off to standing on deck - very smooth - and we were the last group called - steerage

- carved turkey in terrace - a favourite embarkation day tradition

- casino bar open by 12 - decent champagne we thought

- our room was to be ready by 3 but called ready by 2:30

- staff is super friendly

- refit stateroom is a win IMO - bright bathroom with plenty of storage - lighting is superb, 1 European plug, 1 US plug and 2 USB outlets on each side of bed., walk-in shower is wonderful - u can have your bathtub

- room was set up as we requested - distilled water, Diet Pepsi, club soda, etc.

- some will complain about the I’ve cream location - right by pool - but cleared congestion for waves and for ice cream —— no ice cream at terrace buffet.

- lots of walkers and scooters but staff swooped in to carry plates - still hard to find a sommelier for a drink order at lunch but being persistent paid off

i promise to have a drink for every like here before I go to bed tonight

Hard to give you perspective here but this is an aft-facing extended balcony. It is the last in the row so it has an unobstructed view aft. Easily enough room for 2 loungers, 2 chairs and a table. Why aft facing? I’ll get some argument here but the forward facing, at the rear of the ship can act as a wind funnel. Check the deck plans for deck 7. Don’t tell anyone.

Two things from tonight, will do a more in-depth commentary tomorrow (tired, still got a touch of jet lag).

Jacques Pepin is on board - he is doing a book signing tomorrow!

We left an hour early - 8pm - as the port advised us to get out of dodge early apparently.

Very happy but tired.
